« First of all A big thank you to Sue, she is a great host, very helpful and friendly. The Fox Cottage was very cosy - very peaceful and relaxing with everything we needed, including a very nice welcome basket with home made brownies which we enjoyed when we arrived after a very long drive. « We bought the 3 night stay as gift for our son's birthday. After a 3 hour journey they could not access the property as the keysafe code we had been given was incorrect. My wife and I were out for a meal and spent over an hour trying to contact someone that could give us the correct code. Eventually after nearly 2 hour they were able to guess the code and gain entry. Customer service and support were pathetic and left them stranded in the rain. »

« Apartment 4, Sir Nigel Gresley. Overall a good stay. Listed as first floor but was second floor. Four flights of stairs bit of a struggle for four over 60s with suitcases. Also en suite shower a definite no. High step and getting out no hand holds. Couldn't use it. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Sofas too low and only two chairs for the dining table. Central location. Probably wouldn't use again due to mobility issues. »

« Absolutely beautiful well laid out flat. Plenty of room for for 3 adults (one very elderly and not mobile). Everything inside is good quality and works! Christmas tree was lovely touch. The only downside ... no WI-FI!! which im sure we had specified on our search. »

« Had a relaxing three night stay in this lovely cottage. Plenty of space and very comfy beds. Nice size bathrooms although unfortunately the shower in the family bathroom was leaking down into the hallway so everyone had to use the ensuite shower. Not ideal but no fault of the owners. « We have stayed here for two consecutive years. It’s a good-sized property, well-maintained, and generally clean but there were dog hairs on one of the sofas and it definitely smells more like dog I. 2024 (on the ground floor only - the upstairs is immaculate) than it did in 2023. I would suggest the property is either deep-cleaned and better aired/odor neutralized after every stay OR only advertised to dog owners.
