« A very nice house, well situated close to all the fun stuff in Folkestone. I was concerned before we went that it might be noisy at night from bars and clubs, but in fact it was totally fine and quiet. Even the cars on the road outside are quite quiet from the front bedroom, which is right at the top of the house. Keepers are brilliant to deal with, e.g. I couldn't find the heating controls, but they talked me through it right away on the phone without delay or fuss. Folkestone has so much...

« 2 families, 4 adults and 4 kids had a brilliant stay. There was plenty of sleeping space, bathrooms and a brilliant large kitchen table to eat and play games on. The hot tub was a real hit, and the fire pit at the end of the garden was great for toasting marshmallows. Location was excellent for walking to the beach, high street and to Waitrose along the peaceful canal. Would highly recommend! »

« A sensational location and 270 degree views, as close to the sea as you can get without being in it. It is astonishing that a workable living space has been created out of such an oddly-shaped building. It is comfortable and well-equipped and the only sounds to be heard are natural ones, although there was maybe a little bit too much wind to be heard when we were there. « Inside generally good. One of the two double bedrooms had a mattress that was completely worn and very uncomfortable. Needs changing.Outside front and back are very unwelcoming. High weeds on entry at the front give an impression of a run down property. All windows in the property needed cleaning, very dirty. The back garden and 'patio' area where completely unacceptable. « Het was een prachtige plek in Elham. Mooi rustig maar op een kort ritje naar dichtbijzijde supermarkt en stadje.De workshop was mooi ingericht en ruim! De hygiëne was niet goed. Ik had het idee dat er niet was schoongemaakt toen we aankwamen. In de badkamer was er alleen een bad waar je in moet zitten om te kunnen douchen. Zou fijn zijn geweest als dat duidelijker was aangegeven. Over het algemeen een mooi verblijf! Mooie plek en omgeving, voor 2 nachten prima!! »

« We had a good time in Hythe and at Whispering Waves during our recent stay. The location is excellent, and the property is charmingly decorated with a unique flair. It had everything we needed for our few days away. The sofas in the open-plan lounge were very comfortable, as were the beds, and the kitchen was well equipped. However, we did have one concern regarding the sunken bathtub, which has deep steps that are difficult to navigate. Adding a handrail would improve safety. »

« A group of 8 friends had the best time catching up during our stay at Nare’s House. Such a lovely house and furnished to a high standard and with everything one would need for a relaxing stay. Very close to some amazing sites too. During our stay we enjoyed the independent shops and food offers and both Folkestone and Sandgate and enjoyed lovely walks at St. Mary’s Bay, Dungeness and a sneak peak of Derek Jarman’s cottage. Before arrival, I had to chase the host for check-in instructions as nothing had been sent. Even after calling, I was only given the key safe code.
