« The best thing about this hotel is the location which is fantastic, and the staff were very nice. We stayed in the Oak Suite which is apparently the best room; it benefits from a private terrace with a pair of easy chairs to watch the river and it's occupancy go by, which is lovely. For me it definitely wasn't a four star, but a fair three star hotel. There was a temporary kitchen which also hampered them as well as the view. The room was clean and airy with a (strangely grubby!)Juliet balcony...

« Not very welcoming team, the room is just disgustingly dirty, mould on the ceiling of the bathroom and the tiles joints are full of mould. the room has certainly not seen a vacuum cleaner for ages. There's NO EXCUSE for such dirt. A pity as it could be a nice place, but it's a NO GO in these conditions »

« Staff were really friendly and kind, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, loved the coffee machine and generous pods provided and size of mugs was great. Bed was amazingly comfy! had a lovely nights sleep. Food was excellent! good portions, value for money and really tasty. Thanks to the Miners team for a really great stay! »
