Unannounced under renovation (bad sloppy renos) from the website description. THE SITE SAYS FREE BREAKFAST but there was none. I called the front desk just to ask when it ends and he said: “I don’t know nothing about a free breakfast” Also our floor were so dirty that we ended up placing some towels down near the bathroom/sink area after me wiping it a bit before. Everything else was nicely clean. PS: bedsheets not so soft, but whatever.

Updates please
When I booked this trip there was no report of a remodel so the pool was closed, no breakfast, and I think I got the wrong room! I asked for 2 queen beds and I think I got 2 double beds. The room itself was nice and clean. Trying to find this hotel was hard also bc they are changing names and it wasn’t labeled as the new name on this site the old name was gone of the sign. And it wasn’t on the main path to find. Please make sure that the right name and any updates are labeled so other customers don’t have the same experience!

One of the worst I've ever experienced.
I've been to over 20 countries, half the states in the US and half the provinces in Canada. This was probably the 2nd worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The place is filthy to the point of it being unhealthy. Rooms were disgusting - mold all over the ceilings, debris in the hallway, heater/air conditioner filled with some sort of mystery substance. There is no breakfast - it's simply granola bars and stale coffee. The exercise room is deplorable. The staff member that helped us at the desk WAS very friendly and welcoming. I wish I'd gotten her name. A young lady with dark hair and glasses. I wouldn't even recommend this place for a quick one-night-stay for a concert. I've included some photos - but honestly they don't even do justice for the condition the property is in. Oh, and we also saw a literal fist fight in the parking lot in the middle of the day (I have video saved on my phone). Stay away.
Work out room - felt unsafe even powering these machines up.

Do not stay here!!!!!
Hotel was disgusting, it was under construction, dust everywhere, smelled like cigarette smoke everywhere, our mattress was ancient, tub was gross. Breakfast was a joke, first morning there they closed breakfast up an hour early and then said the posted time was wrong but it was posted in 2 places and the night desk told us it was until 10 am as well. Second day we got breakfast, it was coffee, juice and a nutragrain bar. Manager was rude. Close this place!

Dirty and dark
We arrived and one of our rooms was dark (entrance light didn't work and others were dim) and dingy and had a funny smell - a cross between stale and old cigarette smoke. The second room we weren't even able to get into. The key didn't work despite being "reprogrammed" twice. Front desk said "we are fully booked - I can refund your rooms." Probably a blessing in disguise that we had to find a completely new hotel at 10pm because there is no way I would have stayed the night here.

In spite of supposedly being a non-smoking facility, it is clear that people frequently smoke in the rooms. There were cigarette burns on some of the furniture, and the room smelled dirty from repeated smoking. Aside from that the furniture was worn. The staff was nice enough and things were reasonably clean in spite of all, but this is not a place to stay if you have any sensitivity to cigarette smoke.

I had to change rooms three times. The first room wasn’t cleaned, the second room, the bathroom was covered in gnats (bugs). It was disgusting. The rugs haven’t been vacuumed and the breakfast area was filthy. No coffee and no cups. I will never stay here again. Disgusting.

The hotel looks as if it had nothing done to it in 25 yrs any thing that broke was still broke . it is under renovation now. the fridge smelt really bad and also froze our food, the room was cluttered with too much furniture. the room also had a slight smell to it. The breakfast tables were not cleaned from one morning to the next ! The elevator was dirty the halls were dirty, the entrance was dirty. the bathroom was dimly lit. The ice maker was broken . The pool was closed for renovation but advertised as having a pool . The sheets were clean and the orange juice was good at breakfast . Breakfast had the very minimum and still be able to call it breakfast . They took all the profit for 25 years and put nothing back ! find a different hotel this one is a disaster !

Room was not in shape for guests. Odor smelled like smoke. Entrance light switch did nothing. Bathroom floor was slippery. There were loose tile on the bathroom floor. Toilet seat was loose. Bath ceiling paint peeling due to lack of ventilation. Tool bar coming off wall. Other parts of the building were under construction, but our room was not clean, in need of repairs, dated and should not have been on the rental market.

Your concerns have been noted. We would like to relay that upon check in, every guest is notified that we are under FULL renovations here at our property. It is clearly spelled out in the Guest Policies that are required to be signed at check in. At any point during the check in process, a guest is allowed to cancel if they do not want to stay because of the renovations. It is always a surprise for us to receive a low review score because of renovations, when all sites have been updated with this information. Thank you for your response.

Do not stay here
Not good. Booked this place for my out of town guests. They didn’t stay the night! Police visited property while my guests were checking in. The policeman told my guests that he (the policeman) would not stay at this hotel. The hotel was a disaster- falling apart, gross, unkempt, no towels/paper in the lobby bathroom. Do not stay here.

This property was sketchy to say the least! It was disgustingly dirty, the hallways, the landscaping, the rooms, the elevators looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The pool was absolutely atrocious! There were questionable people wandering around the property with doors to the halls and outside propped open We did Not feel safe at all! We didn’t have time to get another hotel before our event or we would have definitely moved. Do Not stay here!

Dirty generally. Room: moldy shower, gross tub surface, dresser handle off, no brewing tray for coffee maker, missing light bulbs (4) over sink. Linens and bed fine. Newer toilet--but wobbly seat. Receptionist highly impersonal and almost rude--no welcome, eye contact or thanks for staying, etc. Breakfast sparse. Walkways trashy. Windows dirty. Avoidable in future.

The place had no phone, no remote to the tv. No alarm clock and dirty I only stayed because I had no choice but I will sleep in my car before I go back there I need a refund give me a room under construction.

We paid for two queen beds and only got one. Water stains on the ceiling, carpet was dirty. I will pay a little more next time and hopefully get a decent room somewhere else.

Our first unhappy stay at a Baymont or a Wyndham. Lots of renovation/construction. Dumpsters and garbage in the parking lot. Gnats in the room and somethgin unidentifiable on the fridge. Stains in the bath tub and on the wall. Only stayed one night. Staff was kind enough to refund the balance of our planned stay - they were fine - and we relocated.

Upon arrival, the girl at the desk did not greet us.Just asked for identification. She gave us the key and was not very helpful. When we got to the 3rd floor, as we were heading to our room, one of the doors were patch up half way with a piece of plywood. Second, the back door to the fire escape door was left open with a highchair and the stairs were unfit and unsafe. Door should have had a caution sign up. We entered our room which was next to the fire ecape door, put our stuff away and went to our concert. We got back to the hotel at around midnight, the tub was not very clean and we were to tired to complain. The water dripped all night that we had to shut the bathroom door, so we could sleep. In the morning, we got up and took our shower, now the water isn't draining and you got two inches of water that your standing in. Not very sanitary. Would i recommend this hotel to our family and friends, absolutly not. It needs to be renovated. Oh I forgot, the curtain was half hanging off the rod. There was no light bulb in the lamp on the desk, and the air conditioner was all dirty and plugged up. Must i say more...

I liked the lobby area and 1bed but hated the 2bedroom(our first one) and was polite to staff but was given slight attitude and told no at first when I asked to switch rooms. The room was stained, smelly and old. There was a sticky smear on the headboard. And there were construction workers on the roof right above us, with a crane outside our window. Asked for another room but was denied at first. Went to a 1 bed and next day had to beg for compensation because we know 1bed cost less and it was inconvenient because our friends couldn’t come to the hotel after the party. Refunded us $20 but dang the hassle. Clean place and nice staff is all I ask for.

There was a roof repair being done. The crew began at 8am. It sounded like an elephant herd directly above my room. This location did not have any luggage carts to assist unloading at check-in nor for loading at check-out. I would think this would be standard equipment at all hotels. The free breakfast closing at 9am is inconvenient. The item selection available was poor.

Never stay at baymont auburn hills
We got to the hotel with 45 minutes to get ready for my reunion, which i drover over 5 hours for. We were told they doubled booked and did not jave a room for us, unless all three adults would sleep on 1 king size better together. Obviously this wouldnt work so the desk agent canceled our booking and basically said we cant help you youre on your own. We ran mext door to another hotel got a room with 20 minutes left to get ready but also had to pay $40 more. Very upset and disappointed
