« We were disappointed by the experience. We were in a sort of prefab building overlooking the car park. The insulation was very poor, both thermal and acoustic. The bathroom tap didn't fit the basin. The electronic shower system didn't work properly, which led to wasted water. The only positive point of the stay was the staff: very friendly and pleasant. »

« I've been to Ayr many times but this was our first time at Daviot's. We were greeted warmy by Linda, who showed us to our room on the middle floor. While there were four rooms at the top of the stairs, we never heard another soul during our four day stay. The bed was comfortable and the recommendations for dining excellent. »

« No light on in hotel on arrival, front door locked, rang bell no answer, phoned hotel straight to answer machine, read note hanging off the front door deliveries to side of building, side door open nobody around went through several doors shouting hello but nobody answered went through private door and got someone who got the key for room. 83 year old lady had to then walk up four flights stairs room in the attic was family room.
