« Would have been excellent but for the room (twin bed) we stayed in. It was so hot we had to have a fan on all night, even with balcony doors open. Also, the entrance door had obviously been damaged, the jamb was loose! No effort had been made to repair. »

« Overall we enjoyed our stay. The spa facilities were fantastic however when we arrived we were informed it was open till 10pm. We assumed this was for the whole of the weekend stay however when we went on the 2nd day they were closing. The breakfast was amazing couldn't fault anything. The room was an executive room. It was comfortable but required refreshing as paint was stained. We would return »

« The staff at reception and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, too. Location is convenient. Our only wish would be that the room was a little bit larger. It was clean with good amenities: just a little cramped for two people and luggage. It’s a nice place to stay in Shrewsbury. »

« First visit to this Hotel and I must say how delited I was with the degree of professionalism combined with a friendly genuine welcome from the moment I arrived to leaving. « Really nice pub, convenient for Ludlow and the Shropshire Hills. Winter weekend break for us, nice big clean quiet room, comfy bed, plenty of space and large bathroom. All the staff very friendly and efficient, had a nice meal there - steak well cooked - and the breakfast was tasty, good quality ingredients and served quickly and with a smile. The bar area was nice, log fire burning and lots of locals in there. One negative was the water temp in the shower - I imagine as it’s an old...
