« the property is located on the hillside and has a real good , carefully designed crafted Japanese garden-like surroundings. it has wooden and stone steps , handles, very artistic. They have a stone decorated stream with mini waterfalls and koi goldfish pond. the property sauna is also working well and is a nice feature. the main building interior has a real homey atmosphere and interior of mid 1940 - 1950 s they have an independenly running very good a la carte three course lunch meal...

« Fully furnished kitchen with good quality cookware (no Teflon), close to grocery store, Lake Lure, and a lovely private backyard and screened-in porch. Every detail from closet hangers, luggage rack, beach towels, and toiletries were provided. One of the best places I've every stayed! »

« The room was clean, It is family friendly. We did not use the tub. The shower is a corner shower that is a little tight but has great water pressure and flow. I did put a wash cloth on the tub so the shower door would not hit the bare tub and damage it or make a loud noise. The first night the family in the adjoining cabin were noisy until 1am. Sounded like jumping and loud talking. The third night there was jumping, thumping and loud talking and arguing on and off until 4:30am. Woke me up at...

« My dogs and I had the most wonderful stay. Cozy enough to be very comfortable while enjoying the camping experience. Very private so the dogs could run and play in the creek and not disturb anyone. »

« While maybe not exactly what I was expecting, this little barn house stay was great for our family holiday travel (with our dogs) to such a beautiful area. Very country cute. Remote. Had all amenities. Very thoughtful hosts. Quick and attentive support. Only suggestion, given closeness to road would have been nice to have a small fenced area outside for dogs.Still, a great little stay. »
