« It was a nice hotel. Staff was excellent. Did not like the $50 refendable charge added at check in for breakfast. Never had that experience before. Hotel was noisy from rude people and highway noise. Hotel needs an update, but good place to stay. »

« The James river hotel formally the King James is almost historical in Newport News. The hotel has been through VERY ROUGH times of people it's time in business. Overall it has truly stood the TEST OF TIME. The age of the rooms would be a five on my scale. However other than that I will stay again as I have done for over 40 years. God bless »

« This is our first time at this resort hotel and so happy we chose to stay here. My husband and I loved the bed and the pillows. The room is very clean, spacious and has nice high ceiling. It is close to Busch Gardens which is just 20 minutes away and half a hour to the beach. We rate this10/10 and we will definitely stay here again. »
