« The man managing the counter was pretty rude the day we were supposed to check in. The room was nice and clean, the pool areas need some tlc and some of their safety gear needs replaced. The lifeguards on duty while we were there were all younger. No one was smiling or friendly and a few were not even paying attention. One specifically had his back to everyone in the wave pool and was playing on his phone. The arcade was expensive which was to be expected but the prize machine was aso out...

« We found multiple spiders in our room, spider webs in most corners of the ceiling, and areas that has not been dusted for awhile. Windows were quite dirty.
Staff seemed unprofessional, not welcoming or friendly.
Disappointed in the accommodations.. have always had good experiences with best western hotels, this was a first. »

« Paused here for a night during a cross-country road trip. The building is odd but interesting— I like it. Nice front desk person. I’d happily stay here again. Also enjoyed the lightning storm and seeing multiple ATVs(?) outside. »

« As for the bed and pillows, well, you get what you pay for. Breakfast was decent, though there is only one restaurant within walking distance; however, downtown is less than a 5-minute drive away with more options. Access to the base was pretty easy, being about 9 to 10 miles (a 12- to 14-minute drive) from Fort McCoy. Overall, it is a good place to stay, and I would return if I had to. »
