Vijećnica is located in the city of Sarajevo. It was designed in 1891 by the Czech architect Karel Pařík, but criticisms by the minister, Baron Benjamin Kallay, caused him to stop working on the project. It was initially the largest and most representative building of the Austro-Hungarian period in Sarajevo and served as the city hall. The building was reopened on the May 9, 2014.

« Our second time here. Beautiful surroundings. Great, friendly staff. The whole complex is very clean. The room is as comfortable as any we’ve stayed in around the world. « Super stay in the mountains. We arrived early and we’re able to check-in to an upgraded room because the hotel wasn’t busy. It’s not actually ski in/ski out but it’s not far to walk. The balcony is a sun trap and looks out on to the pistes. The restaurant had a good range of Bosnian and European food at very reasonable prices- handy as there are limited restaurants in resort. « I stayed here for 4 weeks. This place is very quiet, and away from most of the hustle and bustle. I’m pretty sure I was the only traveler here for probably 3 of the 4. This is the perfect place for the digital nomad who is country hopping. A bus and a tram will get you into downtown Sarajevo. The hosts were very hospitable. Just note that all the shops nearby are closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly. »

"Hôtel bien situé, proche du centre ville de Sarajevo. Une station de tramway est accessible devant l'hôtel, autrement, le centre ville est visitable a pied sans aucun soucis voire même la ville entièrement. Service OK, propreté OK, le bémol est la salle de bain (inondation après la douche, vraiment) pas bien agencée, un peu année 80...le petit dej est très bien et copieux !"

"The hotel is located at short walking distance from downtown streets where are located restaurants and boutiques. Front desk personnel are very nice and helpful. Don't forget to reserve a parking spot, because there are only 15 of them. I needed to park in a public parking the first night and managed to get a parking spot at the hotel for the second night. "
