Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). « The location was terrific. Close to just about everything you want to walk to in historic Savannah. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The negatives- Our balcony doors would not lock or even seal up without tying bathrobe belts to the handles and to a table to keep tight seal on door that would keep out the road noise. The sofa was stained and dirty. The bathroom smelled really bad and had pee stains around base of toilet. The best part was the noise machine! Amazing amenity! »
