« We Love the Seahorse Cottage!! This was our second visit to OBX and our second stay here. We had the same cottage as last year and it was great! It has everything you need and is very comfortable. The staff are friendly & helpful. Walking distance to the pier & beach , Cahoons market, restaurants, etc. Thank you again Seahorse staff! »

« Aucun personnel à l’accueil. Nous avons été accueillis par une machine qui communiquait virtuellement avec un préposé. Le wifi ne fonctionnait pas. Nous devions avoir un grand frigo à la chambre et nous avions un mini sans congélateur. La chambre était très petite. L’air climatisé était tellement vieux et bruyant que nous avons eu l’impression de dormir à côté de notre tondeuse. »

« Beau motel, propre, changement de serviettes à tous les jours. Directement sur la plage. Grand frigidaire et petite plaque à induction. Barbecue aux briquettes à l’extérieur. Ma chambre était face a la piscine, belle emplacement. Je recommande, prêt de restaurants ( sea food juste devant excellent ), épicerie, etc. J’y retournerai c’est sur. »

« Property was hard to find in the dark a bigger lighted sign would help. Parking is tight if a person with a large truck parks beside you. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Bed was comfy. I will go back if I need a port in a storm again »

« Convenient to my organized bicycling tour end 4/26 at Hampton Inn Elizabeth City (other hotels in the area were fully booked). Noisy — only 40 meters away from busy hwy US-17 and a high-pitched sound that seems to come from the room’s fridge/freezer; Bring earplugs. Pros: efficient fridge/freezer; business-like staff; clean (except for some stray pet hair). Cons: no security latch on door; in my room 112, unrepaired damage from previous guests — missing shower head (unpleasant to use, to say the...

« They did a great job renovating the Tar Heel motel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bring K-cups with you if you are a big coffee drinker and don’t pack heavy. This is the best of old school Outer Banks, reminds me of when my parents would take us to OBX in the 70’s staying at the Beacon. »

« Very reasonably-priced motel! The owner and his family are from India -- Lovely folks! The room is always clean. I always stay here when I come to visit family. »

"Our unit was very clean. The unit was well furnished, excellent amenities. Outdoor needs renos. There are stairs, you may need to carry your luggage upstairs. The area is mostly quiet, but... Suites have a communicating door that let the sounds (voices and tv) go through easily. Maintenance starts making noise before 8AM every morning and nobody seems to care; I've talk to people at the desk and the answer I got meant "it is what it is, it won't change, we don't care" "
