« What a hidden gem of a place! A gorgeous river cottage overlooking the St James River. Grateful to be immersed in a natural rural atmosphere and also so close to many things to do both at the cottage and near Williamsburg. We swam, walked the beach, kayaked and fished! A magical sun rising over the StJames River takes one’s breathe away! I understand why people come back here. It’s a very special place. « This is an older home which has been significantly renovated. Appliances and fixtures are new and work well. The washer dryer combination operates as expected, but seems to be installed in a crooked manner. There are some minor things that I would suggest such as putting clocks and trash cans in all the bedrooms. There are no televisions in the bedrooms. « The hostess was very accommodating!! This is a very cute home and very clean!! There was 4 adults and 3 kiddos in our group we were all very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water! It was very nice to be able to wash and dry our clothes so we didn’t have to do that as soon as we got home. It was very cozy and felt like our home away from home!!! We definitely recommend this property and will definitely stay again when we come back to VA!!! »
