« Enjoyed the area. The home was clean, cozy, peaceful and had a beautiful view of Thunder Bay. Could have used a few more days. Hope to be back! »

« We were landing the fish, the first 2 days we were there. The weather was up and down for us. Still had a fantastic time. Went and checked out the cracks in the earth, that was a site to see. Overall was an amazing trip. We will look to book again in the future. »

« The host was super nice and so thoughtful. She communicated with me very quickly, kindly, and was super helpful. There was a welcome booklet with nearby restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, and other great things. The beds were super comfy to sleep in for sure! They also made sure to keep stocked whatever you could think of (or forgot to pack), which was so incredible. Location is nice and secluded with being in a road back road right in a river. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone...

« From the moment we arrived, the cabin was welcoming - clean, organized, all the items we needed for cooking and serving, feel at home decor. A great set up outside, as well. The location is a nice short drive into Alpena and the surrounding area. A beautiful view across the lake, including a wonderful view of the sunrise. And nicely quiet. We highly recommend this rental. Great communication with the host (quick responses and wanted to make sure our stay went well). We will be talking about this...

« The location was great, the cottage was well stocked and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable- i fell asleep quickly every night and slept 10-11 hours which is amazing for me. The yard was large, flowers pretty, peaceful river you can enjoy. It was so peaceful and comfortable. Things to do for the whole family, or sit back and relax. The hosts were great! We look forward to returning. »

« We had a wonderful week at Marina’s Lake Cabin! The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. It was a good home base for our treks to area hiking trails and lighthouses. We enjoyed the kayak, fire pit, and collecting rocks on beach. Thanks for sharing your home with us! »

« A returning guest to the Embers Cabin and it did not disappoint. Nice binders filled with information about the area provided by owner. Bed super comfy. All amenities were accurate with online property description. Clean, tidy and peaceful! It was great to unplug and unwind here. Also as a solo traveler, I felt very safe at this location. 10/10 recommend. »

« We had a wonderful family vacation. The home was well equipped and we particularly loved the outdoor space with the swinging chairs and fire pit table. We played bags and frisbee. When we wanted alone time we each had our own tv in our rooms. The giant dining room table was not only perfect for eating, but games too. We had a great stay. »
