« Terrible experience. This is my first public comment over 30 years of travel. Extremely noisy elevator bell located right in front of the room (which is not mentionned upon booking). Rambling noise starting a 4:30 am probably due to washing machines. I do not bother commenting on the rest. A hotel which does not guarantee proper resting should not exist. Avoid at all cost. »

« Beautiful grounds with hammocks, lawn games, countless flowers, and views to Lake Huron and Mighty Mac. The rooms in the summer house had nice terrace gardens. The food was pricey, but delicious at casual restaurant. We bought breakfast sandwiches from General Store which were delicious and fast. We took the shuttle to and from town, but it is also walkable if the weather is nice. »

« The room was small but very clean and functional with a small balcony facing the harbor. The staff were great. Being a historical building it did not have elevators, but porters did all the transport of our luggage to and from the room and even to and from the ferry. »

« Loved the location of this hotel. Easy to walk to breakfast, dinner, sites and shopping. Loved the rocking chair front porch. The room was very nice. We got a king sized bed and it was very comfortable. Good use of space in a small room but plenty of room to move. Loved having a refrigerator. Get desserts across the street at the carriage house!
