« The area and location were fine with us. However, the actual cottage plus the site were not suitable for us as seniors in our 80's. The ground was uneven for walking, and the many steps down from the deck were too much for me with a walking cane. There was much that needed attention inside the cottage itself which showed some lack of upkeep. However, on the plus side, our young ones enjoyed boating and fishing. « The property was amazing for our family getaway of 6 adults. It had everything we needed from a comfort and activity standpoint. It had all of the amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen. The cottage was in a quiet place and very private. The atmosphere was relaxing. The views from the balconies (yes more than one) were stunning. The cottage was located a short drive to the Lakefield and not too far from Peterborough. Everyone enjoyed the quiet lake and we all liked the canoe and kayaks. It...

« We did enjoy our stay for the most part and had everything we needed. Interior was nice but not much privacy outdoors. Also smelled awful on the patio from the old outdoor garbage storage not being emptied. Was not as clean as expected. Some of the dishes in the cupboards were dirty, some of the light fixtures were filthy. Definitely needs new cooking pans! Could benefit from a more thorough clean all around. For us, not really worth the price. »
