« Our family of 8, including 4 kids and 2 grandparents, enjoyed this property! It's a bit off the beaten path (which is what we were looking for) - we all enjoyed the canoes/kayak, my boys brought their fishing stuff, and we all loved the porch and firepit. The house was very well stocked, making it easy to prepare a few meals in the kitchen/on the grill! I loved that there was a washer/dryer and all the details were thought of... from bathroom supplies, to games/books, and everything we needed to...

« The cabin was great! Clean, beautiful view. Just what we were hoping for. We’d definitely stay again. »

« A train came past the house at 7am in the morning. There is no mention of early morning train activity in the description. The mattresses were extremely soft and the blankets were very thin…so we were chilly. The house is beautiful…just these details are something to consider. »

« We were in town for my son’s wedding . Donald agreed to let us have a meet and greet cookout at his cabin . The cabin was very well equipped for such an event . Kitchen was well stocked with platters, bowls of all sizes and plenty of pots and pan . There was even some things other guest’s left behind that saved us from yet another trip to Walmart . I can’t say enough about this property and the host Donald . I would recommend this cabin to everyone . »

« It was a beautiful location and we felt right at home with quick access to the best trails and gorgeous views of the mountains. We loved drinking coffee from the swing in the morning. Wish we could stay longer! »

« We visited for my sons 18th Birthday! Although a short stay it was a great trip!The host communicated promptly, everything we needed was there to have fun. We canoed, fished, went swimming in the river, had a fire at night and played in the game room. The rooms and amenities were clean accomindating. Anything we didnt have we could go to walmart for. Quiet and secluded place, it was nice to relax and make some new memories. Thank you to the hosts! »

« Recently stayed 3 nights here with our family of 5 (kids aged 14, 11, 8). Perfect size, great location. We were able to explore Shenandoah and Luray Caverns easily from this location. Beds were comfortable, house was very clean. Reported an issue with the washing machine to management. We weren’t there long enough for it to be resolved while we were there, but they were very receptive to the feedback and I suspect it will be addressed. We used the hot tub, fire pit and grill while we were there...

« I loved everything about this stay. The charm of a "Hobbit House" only 2 hours from my home was exceptional. The owners thought of all the details. The house was filled with magic and wizardry everywhere even cute miniature LOTR/Hobbit characters hidden in the walls. Then, the screened in porch and patio were perfect for morning coffee and 1st breakfast. So close to hiking, caverns and wineries, but yet you feel away from all the hustle that life fills you with. This home is a real gem...

"Si l'immeuble est magnifique, les chambres sont moyennement confortable: climatisation individuelle peu efficace et très bruyante. Literie moyenne, salle de bain très petite. Par contre le restaurant est très agréable bien qu'en sous-sol. Les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur de l'image de l'hôtel"

"Nous avons passé 3 nuits début juillet 2025 à Skyland, et ce fut une expérience exceptionnelle ! Notre chambre double avec deux lits queen était spacieuse, propre et très confortable. Elle disposait de tout le nécessaire : TV, Wi-Fi, machine à café, et surtout une superbe terrasse avec une vue à couper le souffle sur les montagnes de Shenandoah : un vrai bonheur au lever comme au coucher du soleil. Le personnel a été extrêmement accueillant et serviable tout au long du séjour, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. L’hôtel est idéalement situé au cœur du parc, parfait pour rayonner sur Skyline Drive et profiter des randonnées sans passer trop de temps en voiture. Sur place, tout est prévu pour un séjour pratique et agréable : restaurant, bar, boutique, machine à glace, parking gratuit… (Seul petit point à noter : il n’y a pas de piscine, mais franchement, on ne vient pas ici pour ça !). Nous recommandons chaudement Skyland à tous ceux qui veulent profiter pleinement de Shenandoah NP dans un cadre naturel, calme et authentique. Nous y retournerions sans hésiter !"
