« Perfect place to stay on our trip to Nevada City! The space is exactly as described. The birds outside were the cutest neighbors! There are apples and wild blackberries on the property, too. In the morning, you may hear people walking around upstairs. Something to consider if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep in. It was a short walk to town. Be sure to check out the Saturday Farmer's Market if you can! Would definitely consider staying here again. »

« The property is very spacious, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Kitchen is wellequipped. Game room is also fun for kids. Host is very responsive. The extra room by the basement can have additional carpet and heating during winters. We had a fun stay! »

« Very nice home for large groups or families. Having three legit master bedrooms was a very nice touch. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and kitchen gadgets. Hot tub and bbq worked great. Two minor critiques: the downstairs to upstairs is a loft-type design so noise carries, and pool access was in the listing but not actually available for short term guests according to the pool staff. Even if there is a work-around for the pool passes, the pool/resort fee is 24/person - not viable for a large...

« The house was a perfect way to show East coast relatives California. The space easily accommodated 7 adults (3 couples 1 and a 1-year old. The kitchen was spectacular - made it easy to prepare meals. Hosts graciously allowed us to use paddle boards and kayaks. We had a terrific time. »

« We were looking for some R&R near Donner with our adult children & Golden Retriever. This was perfect for us - quiet and welcoming neighborhood, cozy but roomy cabin, walk to marina to rent kayaks, kick-back pub (The Pub) and a surprisingly well-stocked grocery store (good wine and cheese selection)! « Thank you for having us. We enjoyed the house and the roomy place. House is very nice with large living space, especially the front porch is great. Noise from the highway is louder than expected - sound seems to travel up the mountain :-) Cleanliness of the place was so-so, nothing super gross, but could use a deep clean once in a while, to get rid of the dust bunnies under the bed, hair plugging the sink in the upstairs bathroom (now removed by thoughtful tenant (me lol)), and the upstairs...

« Our stay here was comfortable and relaxing, which is what we were looking for. We especially liked the large, very well equipped, kitchen and the comfortable outdoor seating area. I would give 4.9 stars if that was an option as the in-house air conditioner had been broken by a prior client and was not in service.
