« Stayed here in March so we could snowboard at Sugar Bowl, which is just 10 minutes to the west. There were only four of us, but the place could easily fit a large family -- lots of places to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and when we wanted to go out for a meal, Truckee was only 10 minutes to the east. The owner gave us her cell phone number upon arrival, and we ended up using it when we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player. (They have a solid collection of movies...

« The house is in an amazing location and the views are even better in person. The house is massive, spa area is very nice, and really liked the bar area. House itself is a little bit worn in some areas, but everything else makes up for it by far. Would recommend! »

« We have stayed at many VRBO's and several in Tahoe Donner. This one was OK. Not terrible by any means -- and we have stayed in terrible -- but not fantastic. The biggest surprise was dealing with Vacasa. Upon arrival we reported that a rec pass was missing (which meant not everyone in our party could enjoy the amenities) and they never followed up. The next day we reported water under the kitchen sink -- again no follow up until I texted again the next day, concerned that it was perhaps a leak...

« We enjoyed our stay here and loved the proximity to Northstar. The space fit well for our group — 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is listed as fitting 8 people, but it seems like that would be tight. The only small negative is that it was not well stocked with essentials like salt & pepper or extra toilet paper. The local staff did bring more toilet paper, but only on the second to last day of our trip. Otherwise, no complaints. A nice, cozy home perfect for a ski vacation. »

« We had a wonderful time. Being in a top floor, we had vaulted ceilings, spacious two bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms. A large fully equipped kitchen. W/D, fireplace, deep tubs…it was so nice. Our east side view also gave us the wonderful AM sunlight streaming thru our bedrooms in the morning. I would recommend doing spot cleaning for the couches and carpets. We also were almost back broken due to the stiff mattresses. Few issues that we made work: jacuzzi was out of order during the visit, fire...
