The decor was a little more than I would have liked. Home looked like it was a model home, less decor would give it a more natural look. Cabinets were full of decor. There is no pantry to place food. « This is our second time staying at Oaks of Eden. It is well-named - the live oaks at the property and forest nearby are spectacular and full of birds. The cottage is very comfortable, laid out well, everything one would need is there, and the back porch is screened. The only poorly functioning item was the coffee maker, which took more than an hour to brew a pot of coffee. »

« My sister and I came the weekend before Thanksgiving to see our 96 year old mother since neither of us could come on the actual holiday. The owners were very good about communicating the arrival and departure procedures. The cottage was very cute and comfortable. The outside was nice with a fire pit and dock you could walk down to. I would highly recommend this cottage, and we would definitely stay there again!! »

We arrived Friday afternoon on a quiet road leading to property, pulling the boat and was planning on backing into the property, a local pulled up and we waved them by, they eased up and offered assistance stopping traffic both directions, we had plenty of parking for boat and 2 trucks!
