« We loved this stay! New and neat enough to feel nice, but not stark or sterile, it felt like a home, rather than a show house, but wasnt cluttered enough to feel lived in, just enough to get comportable. « Top 3 favorite places I’ve stayed! We love places with historic charm and this space was amazing! It had everything we needed and then some. It was a 5 minute drive to the Ark so it was easy to come and go. We cooked all of our meals in the well appointed kitchen. The downstairs bedrooms were a little chilly but with an extra blanket it was fine. I was worried about the train at night based on other reviews but only my DIL in the queen room even heard it. « We loved our stay! There was much room for our large group of 16. We prepared Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen and we had space for everyone at the dining room tables. We used the 3rd table for plying cards, games and bingo. This is a wonderful large family home. Very comfortable with the children. The stairs are a little worrisome...you just can't keep kids from stairs and we had a couple of tumbles. Just as an fyi... it wasn't a deterrent for us.
