« Actually I end up not staying a night of the scheduled 3 nights. I tried to get s refund but it seems the modus operande is to exhaust your patience and time so as to make you give up your claim. First, the host failed to provide any instruction as to check in, how to get the keys, and most important is that after 10PM, nobody’s there to attend to you! Arrive 12AM after a 4-hour drive and end up not able to check in. Contacted the number in the email which end up to be a call to Switzerland,...

« It was a wonderful conversion, how ever they have an extra large chair on the property and people just kept walking up, interrupting conversion on the deck attached. There is also ZERO SHADE on the deck. Hard to enjoy with heat and people constantly park right next to the place you're paying high$$$$ and zero privacy. The bed was so bad I slept in my vehicle!! Definitely upgrades and attention to detail lacking. Thumbs down 150%!!!! Will not revisit! »

« Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back. »

« This is a very clean, 3 bedroom, older home. Street parking was busy, but I always found a place in front of the house to park. It’s very close to WashU & The Loop. Super convenient to move my son into The Lofts. Follow the owner directions to the house. Lots of one ways in the neighborhood. »

« The property was exactly as described and was an adorable place for a short stay! The location provides great access to downtown St. Charles, with many restaurants and shops along Historic Main Street. Having a private single-car garage in the back was very convenient. Parking can be a little challenging if you have more than one vehicle, but it is manageable. The side garage door also takes a little maneuvering to lock and unlock from the outside, but it works. « Great location for walking Main Street. The place was clean however, I don’t believe the floors had been mopped before my arrival. The second day I had to pick something off the floor using a paper towel and it was very dirty. More like I had already stayed there more than a week. Also, if you are traveling with a dog, there isn’t anywhere close for your dogs to find grass. There is Main Street, of course, but for dogs to do their business, the best place is on the Katy Trail.
