The Art Loeb Trail and the Cold Mountain Spur Trail is my all time favorite hike in the Appalachian Mountains. Awesome 360 degree views of the Balsam Mountains from Cold Mountain are well worth the efforts.

« This cottage, though some parts are a little dated, was very clean and has an amazing view. My husband and I spent a good portion of our stay just staring out the big windows at the beautiful mountains. We hit an unusual cold spell in November, so there was snow on the ground! Otherwise, we would have enjoyed the lovely porch. The hosts were very easy with whom to work. The approach to the cottage, though single lane, was more easy to navigate than some we have encountered before. »
