« While the rooms and furnishings are very nice, the bathrooms we not cleanly or updated. The night I stayed there, the power had gone off and there was no air conditioning and the no water. This could be a nice B&B but the outdoors need to be improved. For starters, they could remove the junk water heater from the front porch. »

« Having been born and raised in this area, I wasn't familiar with this location when trying to find a place close to family when coming back to visit. The address said Fort Plain, however it's in town of Danube, outside of St. Johnsville, not even remotely close to FP. Mind the location, as that wasn't a big deal to travel back and forth. « Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. The pillows did not have liners in the pillow cases and were stained so we did not use them. The sheets had other people's hair on them, so we didn't use the cover sheets or blankets. « We checked in on our own for just 10 minutes and left this place. Nobody present to welcome us. No wifi and or internet, all fridges were unplugged. Web everywhere. Trees overgrown on hot tub and pool and many more! »

« At the crest of a steep hill overlooking the Mohawk Valley, the property is well situated. Valerie welcomed us warmly and showed us where to find the necessities. All bathroom facilities work very well. The vicinity is very quiet. Full breakfast was delicious and plentiful. »
