Staying at this bed and breakfast was like stepping into another time. The mansion is beautifully preserved, and every room has its own unique personality, like an art gallery at every turn. Even the music playing throughout the mansion during breakfast made you feel transported.
Jim and Susie were so warm and welcoming. They waited up for us when we arrived late, gave us a thoughtful tour, and somehow still had the energy to make us feel completely at home. Over breakfast the next morning (which was out of this worldâIâm still drooling over the homemade waffles and cinnamon butter), they even surprised us with a sweet engagement gift. It was such an unexpected and heartfelt gesture.
You can feel the love and care this family pours into the stay and hospitality. Itâs the kind of place that makes you want to come back before youâve even left. Highly recommend.
The room was large, the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. A special breakfast was prepared for my dietary restrictions and the innkeepers were delightful. They recommended a restaurant within walking distance that was wonderful. Definitely recommend if youâre visiting cooperstown!
Limestone Mansion is an elegant, charming home. It has an incredible welcoming feeling and our room is beautiful and extremely comfortable. Suzie and Jim are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed a day at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. We are so thankful to be in this quiet, quaint location for our overnight stay. Looking forward to coffee and breakfast in the delightful parlor dining area. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend this guest home to family or friends. A hidden treasure we were so blessed to find.
Unfortunately upon arrival we were informed that there was issues with the heat. We arrived on Friday and was told they were going shut down on Monday for repairs. We were in contact the day before we arrived and were not
made aware of the situation.
Really enjoyed the Victorian ambiance, the intricate woodwork, the period furniture and setup, even the draftyness in the halls at night when it was cold outside.
Breakfast was amazing both days, the host (Jim) was kind and generous.
We will definitely be staying there again soon.
Loved the historic details. Wonderful breakfast. Only thing missing was an en suite bathroom. We were told that our room shared a bathroom but luckily no one was in the sharing room. This would have eliminated the Limestone as a choice had we known. It worked, but ASK B4 booking!
This place is out of this world!!! Great owners who are very accommodating. Chef is five star for breakfast. Location is great for arts , history, dining, walking. Close to Cooperstown, Oneonta, Johnstown etc. Mansion is clean and beautifully decorated.
Beautiful old mansion with charming hosts and AMAZING breakfasts. Quiet. Peaceful. Close enough to Cooperstown and within one block of a nice restaurant and a laid back brewery with a nice menu
It was the loveliest space! My partner and I were so thrilled with the accommodations and the beautiful roooms.
The breakfast was amazing- and Susan was a delight!
We canât be more thankful for this experience
We stayed at the Limestone Inn this past weekend as we had a wedding to go to up in Summit. Jim and Sue were so sweet and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious and all homemade. We hope to stay again when we visit Cooperstown in the future for golf and dining in town. Highly recommend. Lisa and Tony.
Lovely bed and breakfast in a meticulously maintained beautiful 19th century house. Welcoming innkeepers. Would definitely return! Great place to stay for visit to Cooperstown or Glimmerglass.
A remarkable find! Lovely hosts. Unique property capturing beauties of the past. Top drawer dining close. Cooperstown within reach. You'll be tickled to stay at this gem.
