« Such a wonderful experience! The Shire was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend in nature. We enjoyed kayaking, sitting by a fire, and soaking in the hot tub. The house is so charming, and the property is simply magical. Mentone was also very cute. We loved getting tea at The Mad Hater, and dinner at Elevation and The Wildflower Cafe was delicious (make a reservation). We hope to come back every season to see all Mentone has to offer. »

« If you're looking for a laid-back, beautiful retreat - this is it! It is just as it is photographed! Such love and care was put into making this getaway stress-free. So many DVDs, board games. Kitchen is stocked with all the little things. Bobbie & Ray are such great hosts. They are available and close by. THE BED - Oh my gosh, THE most comfortable bed! We will definitely be returning to their little slice of heaven! »

« This is an adorable cottage with plenty of space for 4 adults and 3 kids. The kitchen has been updated and there is a new washer/dryer set. The two queen sized beds have the most amazing mattresses and sleep like a dream. Book this property just for the beds -- you won't regret it! The property is peaceful and private (without hearing banjos! -- ha!). Checkout instructions were simple and easy to follow. We'd definitely book here again! »

« It was like a little piece of Italy in Alabama! So cozy, clean, and welcoming :)The hiking was phenomenal! The full trail took us about 45 minutes and was comparable to ones we’ve gone on in the smokies. We loved exploring the property and going on a morning walk to see all the wildflowers sit next to the pond - it was so peaceful. And we also enjoyed trying out Hatters Cafe while we were in the area - a really unique place that was equally as yummy as it was interesting!! »
