« This basement apartment is well appointed and fun. It was on a quiet street with easy access to downtown Coos Bay and the harbor. Shores Acres (recommended by Ellie) was a complete surprise and very beautiful. Go down Bandon way for sandier beaches. Parking was easy and close. « On-site manager happened to be present on the property and was very helpful. The actual name of the units were different than the Expedia listing. It is not called “Retro beach experience,” so it was somewhat confusing. All communication seems to be through the large property management as there was no open office - just a phone number. so So if the manager & some staff hadn’t been there, we would have had a harder time searching e-mail messages / texts about how to get in. « It's a beautiful property with an amazing beach. Note: There is no kitchen! The listing makes it appear as though there is, but there is not. The fridge is a hotel, or dorm style minifridge and there is no real freezer space. The only appliances are a small combination toaster oven/coffee pot/grill and microwave. If you are planning to prepare your own meals it would be best to bring pre-packaged food or snacks and know that there are no restaurants or grocery stores close by. »
