« It was perfect! The minute we walked through the door we felt at home. I have never stayed in a carriage house so I was unsure what the experience would be like. Jen and Mike were the perfect hosts. Plus it is in the perfect location from campus and downtown. We will absolutely return! »

« Great property, great stay at a very nice cottage. We visited for the weekend for Penn State’s homecoming. Close to the stadium, easy access to I-99 and plenty of food options w/in 3 miles. Two bedrooms w/king size beds and a couch w/a trundle. Very comfortable w/TV, patio, firepit, and charcoal grill. The worse part of the weekend was the non-stop rain on game day. »

« Beautiful quaint cabin 15 minutes from Penn State. The hosts are the nicest people. Stayed for the weekend so we could go to the game. Was the perfect place to stay. There’s so much family history in that cabin, was glad we could stay there. »

« The location is amazing, as is the host. The downside is how outdated and under maintained the house is. The site says infers it is recently updated but that’s just a new floor (poor quality) and new countertops. The screen doors on the sliding door are broke, huge cobwebs in the top of the ceiling, the basement screen door is held closed with a rock, the laundry is creepy, etc. The trees are overgrown, and no drapes for privacy in the second property. Worst of all is if you flush the primary...

« It was just what we needed. We were in the area to watch our son play baseball with the Altoona Curve, and it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Being right on the Lower Trail was an added bonus that we used for some convenient exercise. We hope to stay there again! »

« Whitetail cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It is clean, the beds are comfortable, and you have all the amenities you need. Collette is a wonderful host and very helpful. Looking forward to our stay next year for another Penn State whiteout weekend. »
