« Terribly maintained, excuses from the host, will never book again. Frozen hot tub, no heat in the unit and they didn’t even have blinds for a glass door that sees everything. I’m pursuing a refund & can only hope the host cares enough to actually fix things. Do not stay here when it’s cold, they don’t care about the property. »

« Cottage is very nice. Everything is on one level. You don’t need to climb stairs to get into the cottage. We brought our small dog who enjoyed his stay there. The booking and check-in process was very smooth. Grocery stores are about 15 to 20 minutes away so bringing all the items you will need to cook would be a good idea. There are a couple of restaurants close by, but we did not go to any as we enjoy cooking and having family dinners together. »

« The house is in a great quiet location on a little cove of Smith Mountain Lake. It is away from things enough to have privacy but still not a long drive to stores, restaurants, etc. We were in town for a family wedding at a local venue. The house was good for myself, husband, daughter and son-in-law. I chose a pet friendly house so I could bring my oldest dog with me. However the stairs inside the house were too steep and slippery for him to use safely and I would also not recommend for anyone...

« The property was great for our dogs, the most pet-friendly place we have stayed so far, the host was wonderful and very responsive, and lots of amenities were provided. Everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay was provided; lots of attention to detail. The backyard was beautiful, with a very nice hot tub, grill, and fire pit. We would love to stay again when we return to Lynchburg. »

« Great place. We really enjoyed the isolation in the woods with views of the Blue Ridge mountains. We had a great time with family there and would definitely come back again. Only complaint was the spiral staircase. Since there is no bathroom in the loft I had to navigate the stairs a few times a night to use the bathroom. Not easy for a senior. »
