« Gooseberry Cottage is set back in the birch and pine forest on the coast of Madeline Island. It's very peaceful, charming and comfortable. I was there to visit with my best friend from grade school and her significant other and meet other friends and family staying at other cabins on Madeline Island. We buried my parents' ashes in Greenwood Cemetery after a small and convivial service celebrating my mother's life as she died last year. We also walked the beach, visited the cliffs at Big Bay...

« This was exactly as described Whoever stocked this house is a genius! We had everything we needed and more Amazing use of space. While compact it didn’t feel crowded. The only thing I would note, not in relation to the property at all, is that if you are visiting in the winter or early spring bring food! Not many places were open and a trip to the grocery is a good couple of hour experience round trip. Most boutique shopping is closed until warmer season as well. »

« This cabin reminded me of the title of the first "Little House" book - "Little House in the Big Woods." Our family loved it. The property is so peaceful and quiet, beautiful with all the pine trees. This place had everything we needed, and checking in and out was a breeze. »
