« The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid. »

« This is a great location if you want to check out the lake superior Lakeshore, as well as Bayfield and Madeleine Island. Everything is very conveniently located you can walk to most places in Ashland right from the place. The apartment is pretty basic with kitchen items, but enough to do what you need to do. Very comfortable bad and very quiet. »

« Small little town with not much around. however, the lodge itself is excellent and it's an easy drive to neighboring larger towns. »

« Clean bright comfortable stay with a distant view of the lake. Quiet and loved full kitchen and premade ice. Beds very comfortable and great ac for cool sleeping. Good communication from the host. Parking in front of building to unload and to back of stay near recycling area for overnight. Very close to downtown. Highly recommended »

« Charming property that was well equipped for the stay. All the cabinets were labeled, making it so easy to find everything. Very responsive host. House itself was clean and comfortable. A great place to stay with a group. Yard area was also lovely for time outside and well equipped with chairs and a fire pit. Would definitely stay again. »

« My first impression was the shed next to the house looked like a meth lab. Not sure if it belonged to the property or not. The house is a work in progress. Not quite the image that the pictures online depicted. No screens on the windows except for one kitchen window..So we didn't get much ventilation. The refrigerator wasn't working well, I had to clean the vents on the back and reset the power to get it to work. I wouldn't stay there again. »

« Excellent location, easy access to the water. They even have some kayaks available for use. Details not in the listing: the sauna is electric, there is a hammock! and the grille isn't a grille, it's a skillet / flat top. No firepit. We had a great stay! would stay there again in a heartbeat if I made more money »
