« Good place to stay on Madelaine Island. The cottage would be GREAT with a good cleaning. We could tell that it has been long time since a good cleaning of the place has been completed. Initially the place seemed clean but has you start looking around there are cobwebs and dust that haven’t been addressed for quite some time. This place has the potential to be an awesome rental with a little attention. We still very much enjoyed our stay. »

« We had a wonderful stay in this home right on Lake Namakagon! It was the perfect place for our family of 7 adults on our annual snowmobile trip. There was plenty of parking in the circle drive for our 3 vehicles and two 4-place snowmobile trailers. And when you're ready to ride, you hop right onto the frozen lake from the side yard.When you walk into the first floor of the home, it's a large wide open space with a bench and plenty of hooks for coats & cold weather gear. « We enjoyed our stay, was supposed to be a snowmobile trip, but no snow so we made it a UTV trip. The snowmobile trail is at the end of the driveway which is very convenient. Our host replied fast to all the questions we had. I would stay here again for sleds, but not UTV as it was hard to get around because we could not use the numbered highway and 182 is at the end of the driveway. So, we had to unfortunately use our vehicle to drive around most of the time. »

« We rent someplace in the Winter area every year in October for a weeklong grouse hunt. This cabin was by far our favorite. It was exceptionally cleaned, well kept, well stocked, and well laid out. Chris was a fantastic and accommodating host and made sure everything was set for our arrival. I would highly recommend this property for any group. It is a great combination of multiple comfortable living spaces in a peaceful quiet setting. »

« Very very clean. LOTS of room ! Large kitchen. The shower is fantastic! Comfortable beds. Code to get in was emailed beforehand. Close enough to walk to everything but far enough away to enjoy quiet. Nice 2.5 mile trail about a block away. Off street parking. Would definitely rent this VRBO again. »

« We absolutely loved our stay. Everything about the set up (check-in/out, amenities, house logistics) were extremely clear. Communication with the hosts was easy and they were quick to respond when we had a question. The location and decoration of the space was perfect. We all agreed it was the perfect balance of a well-curated space while still feeling really homey!We can’t recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back next time we’re in Ashland! »
