« Really nice space tucked into an excellent location between West Jefferson and Grayson Highlands. If you are looking for a good basecamp, this one is tough to beat. Loved being in a fairly secluded spot surrounded by trees and wildlife. It was cold while we were there so the fireplace was fantastic. The wraparound porch would be killer during warmer months. « What a wonderful stay we had ! Our hosts were amazing and responsive and the house and property are amazing. We (2 kids and 4 adults) were treated to a winter wonderland with enough snow to sled on. We hiked at Grayson Highlands, had coffee and treats at the general store in Lansing, checked out the fly fishing spots, and visited Damascus and West Jefferson. Such a beautiful place to unwind! At the end of each day we read books by the fire and walked the extensive trails on the property...

« Loved the area, just what we needed: peace and quiet. Loved the mountains. The property was huge and well maintained. So much room for my dogs. Loved that you can explore the property as well. The house is a family home with lots of sentimental value. It is an older house but cozy. I do have to mention the layout of the house is a bit interesting as you have to pass through one of the rooms to get to the bathroom. Additionally, I would say the rooms do not have lots of privacy. « The location was great, we loved being right on the water. Loved that pets are welcome. A few things to note. The pictures look as if there are all kinds of swings off the porch, my kids were real excited about. There was only one swing. That was let down. The ping pong table does not exist. The wifi is terrible. The thermostat was a little iffy. « Excellent stay on top of the mountain with a beautiful view from the deck for miles and miles. This is a great spot if you want to be alone. It is important that you realize this house is on top of a mountain. It is NOT suited for someone in a wheelchair. The walk from the parking spot to the house is up a severe incline. If you want to go for a walk on the road, it is a very steep road. This is great if you want to be isolated and everyone in your party is fit enough to climb stairs. We stayed...
