Canyon Retreat in the City

Resort living in town with amazing view of Pikes Peak. Fully furnished, 3 bedroom with sparkling clean hot tub and private patio. Private full first floor living space/apartment. Located in the high end, Rockrimmon area, guests have a secluded, private entrance full basement apartment. Their own sparkling clean salt water spa, fire pit with city overlook, patio with dining for 6. Newly remodeled with new flooring, appliances and much more. Safe neighborhood with amazing views for a very reasonable price. Please note that we have a strict no smoking policy and we are not 420/mjm friendly. If you are looking for a college party experience, please look elsewhere. (thanks for understanding!) Also, please note that there are no shared spaces, but my wife and I live in the upper level. You likely will not see us after checkin. FYI: we are a legal and permitted property: Colorado Springs permit: STR-1156

We loved our stay at Steve and Ann's VRBO. The space was clean, cozy, and welcoming. My 2 children loved it. The vintage decor was really fun. The hot tub and spacious back patio was great. The neighborhood was quiet and had a secluded feel with lots of pines throughout. It was all just perfect for a multi-day adventure in Colorado Springs. If we are back in the Springs, we'd definitely stay with Steve and Ann again.

The home was very clean and comfortable. It was just the right size for our family of five. We especially enjoyed the hot tub as an extra treat. Hosts were very nice and very fast to respond when we reached out, but also gave us our privacy.

Steve and Ann really went out of their way to make sure we felt right at home. The location of this house was perfect for everything we wanted to do in Colorado Springs and still felt like we were away from the city life. Thank you for making our fall break full of many happy memories!

My hiking group came out to do the Manitou Incline. This was an wonderful central location for our trip. Steve was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us the lay of the land. We enjoyed watching the moon rise by the fire pit, and it was a comfortable place to land after the days activities. And the hot tub hit the spot after a long day on the Incline and Barr trail. Highly recommend this property and the fabulous hosts.

Three of us met up after 20 yrs to reconnect and do some touristy things in Colorado. Steve's place was PERFECT. I need to find a time to come and stay for a week! He is friendly and the place is just right. PLUS, it is centrally located. For us flatlanders a morning walk in the neighborhood was a challenging thing. Seriously, thank you Steve! Your cup overfloweth onto all that you meet.

My husband and I and our four children spent a week at this beautiful home this past July. Steve and Ann were very warm and welcoming and gracious hosts. We arrived earlier than anticipated and they managed to have the property ready for us a bit so we could overcome our Jetllag. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable in their home. We enjoyed the beautiful back patio, including seeing some special guests, such as mama and baby mule deer and bobcat. We enjoyed sitting out front of the house overlooking the beautiful view of Colorado Springs. The hot tub was a welcome Blessing after our hiking. Highly recommend this property and we would definitely come back.

The property was downstairs from the owner, which we did not understand when we rented the property. The owner met us when we arrived and explained how to use the cook top and hot tub. There is not a stove at the VRBO, so plan your meals for a cooktop only. Because they live upstairs and had family over, we were able to hear them walking around upstairs from time to time but, for the most part, it was quite. The owners were very nice and were very helpful and the home was very clean and well equipped. The parking was challenging, as the parking area was small and there were other vehicles. Overall, it was a nice stay for us.

We had an incredible stay and not sure where to begin. Steve and Ann are incredible and made sure that everything was perfect. The house was beautiful and very clean. We had everything we needed to feel right at home. The house is located in an amazing location thst is close to everything we coud hope for. The patio had an amazing view of Pikes Peak and we loved to sit in the hottub after a day of adventure and look at the mountains. Oh, also amazing to have deer come so close to the patio while you enjoy the peaceful setting. This is a place we will definitely recommend to friends and family!

We came for my daughter’s 7am wedding at Garden of the God’s. The host was absolutely perfect, allowing us to have beautiful and photographer on site so early in the am. Also allowed us to invite other local family members over for dinner one evening. The home was adorable, perfect set up for a wedding party to get ready in. The hot tub was Great! And we watched deer every morning and evening come right up to the house. You will not find a better host than Steve and Ann!! Can’t say enough abt how special they made our event. Will most definitely return. A++++

Part 1 So let’s start with booking. I booked in the wrong city and the property owner was willing to work with me on a refund to book elsewhere which was very appreciated but we ended up staying here anyway. We made the 15 hour drive there and messaged to check in a little early, didn’t matter if the place was clean or not we just wanted out of the car and had already killed enough time. Owner let us get there I think an hour early. Totally fine. We pull up and the instructions we had matched this house that looked so cool. The door we were told to go in was already unlocked so we walked in
 to find that it was the wrong house and there were people renting that house already and it kinda erked my group. Owner comes running out to grab us because the place we were staying was right next door. So we walked over to the right house and started getting settled when the owner comes and offers a tour and light conversation. I’m fine with conversation but at the time it just wasn’t what anyone wanted because again, long trip. The biggest issue we had was that we had people in the group who smoke cigarettes so I was trying to get with the owner who has stated a couple times that smoking marijuana wasn’t allowed at his house. Understood. I asked about cigarettes. The comments made about Texas people coming to Colorado to smoke weed) were rude and made multiple times. I never asked about weed, I never implied it.

Steve and Ann are wonderful hosts, super responsive, and the property is perfect. Comfy, clean, well stocked. Great back patio and the kids enjoyed the yard swing and seesaw and the hot tub!! Easy walks and drives to all the amazing hikes around the area. We saw bobcats and deer on our daily walks around the neighborhood. Couldn't have asked for a better place!
