The location is great, and the house has so much potential. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but that is mostly because of our family time, what we brought to do from home, and the exploring we did away from the house.The refrigerator was broken, so we had to keep our food cold with ice in our coolers for most of our stay. The nice manager did eventually get a fridge rental out to us for our last night. The locks were faulty and it was difficult to get into the property. There was very limited kitchen cookware and kitchen appliances. One bathroom didn’t have any soap, and the floors were dirty enough that the kids had black feet. There was a good amount of visible dog hair and a lot of dead bugs that we tried to vacuum up, but the vacuum didn’t work that great either.We love the area and would love to come back, but not to this property.

Check in difficult. Codes were incorrect. Grounds VERY overgrown. Unable to use the fire pit once we found it. Porch/veranda VERY dirty since the house is very close to a dirt/gravel road. Heavy dust in the air at all times. No check-in/check out directions in the home. No instructions on the usage of ANYTHING. Commercial grade refrigerator smelled terribly bad...and is quite loud. White scrubbing cleaner found inside/outside tub and on floor (job not completed.) Kitchen is in chaos. Wet laundry found in the dryer. DEAD MOUSE IN BATHROOM. EW. The living room furniture is incredibly comfortable. The bed linens are clean and neat. The house is listed for sale. Too bad about the yard/grounds,veranda, chaotic kitchen, fridge and DEAD RODENT. Water pressure good enough. Did not take pictures because why be reminded of poor decisions we made in choosing this property?

This is a lovely property in a beautiful locale that we chose for its ability to house our group retreat of 10 adults and 2 children. Check-in was very smooth and we were pleased with the 3 en suite bathrooms as well as the well supplied kitchen that had utensils and cookware for a crowd, and a very large fridge. Management was responsive to our need for help with the internet. Views were lovely and we enjoyed the note and chocolate to welcome us! Those staying here in winter months should be aware that "starter firewood" means not enough for a weekend. This is important as the common spaces do not get adequately warmed without using the wood burning stove. So plan accordingly!!Our group is semi-local, and accustomed to rural living, so were not as alarmed by pest activity as some might be. Same for the spotty internet and variable water pressure and temperature. But there was no warning about the nearby train, which can be heard at all hours. So if you're a light sleeper, plan for that.We enjoyed our stay, but for the price point we might opt for a different rental next time. One that has enough dining space for our whole group (not just 6, plus 4 at the bar), and with management that is prepared to address the 8" of snow that fell making getting out of the driveway a challenge.Thank you for the use of your home, it provided for a nice weekend with friends.

Great time for family. Kitchen had everything we needed and everything was clean and neat. Location was private with plenty of parking and a great fenced area for the dogs. Virginia was a great communicator and even gave us several helpful tips for our arrival. Thank you for a great visit.
