« Lovely hotel, our room was great and breakfast fantastic. Didn’t use the pool, fitness centre or spa so can’t comment but they looked nice. Did do a 7km walk run on one of the recommended routes around the hotel which was very scenic. We’ll definitely return when the build is finished and new restaurant is open. »

I fully appreciate that the decor at the hotel won’t appeal to everyone (art is after all subjective) but, as a photographer myself and with my art loving husband, we found our two night stay here to be a fitting and beautiful end to our three week tour of the North! The Grand is 'grand' a stylish property probably more than 100 years old- carpeted rooms- confortable bed-high ceiling- modern bathroom-(good water pressure)- decent included breakfast- very friendly staff.
