Deccan plazza Chennai
Le Deccan Plazza est un grand hotel confortable, situé assez près des principaux centres d'intérêts . Le principal reproche est que le lit est dur.

Food is pure Vegetarian. Food was awesome.Except Food everything was bad. Hotel room was very unhygienic.There were cockroaches in the room. Furnitured were old and broken.Water was leaking from the faucet.

No airport shuttle available even though clearly advertised. Very misleading. Poor responsiveness from Hotel staff. I wont pick this hotel again.

Stay was overall good. Only thing which matter a lot to me - WiFi was not working and it fluctuating all time - i did mentioned this to reception desk but they gave answer it will be only available at peak time i.e. 8.00 am to 10.00 am and it will be only near area of reception.

Bad Food and cleanliness
Change of management has resulted in deteriorated service and food. All the food served in the morning was stale. Room was not up to par. It was much cleaner before.

Good location, but lots of improvements needed
- good location - breakfast is great... but lunch buffet is super expensive - WiFi didn't work well (at least in our room). Feeble reception, and also keeps disconnecting. They also have a policy that only 2 devices can connect. If you connect a third device you will locked out (the reception will unlock you, though) - the a/c wouldn't work for a few hours in the night. It sounds strange, but between around 2am and 6am the a/c blasts warm air, but not cold air. Other times it is ok. So you end up sleeping under the sheets, only to wake up sweating in the middle of the night. Thought this was one-off on the first night. When it happened on the second night, I complained. No one really took me seriously. I suffered through another 2 nights of this weird phenomenon. At check-out I told them again and they didn't know that I had complained about it. - there was a fridge in the room.. it didn't work. I told them about it, and a person came and fiddled around and said it is fixed. But it wasn't. I didn't really need the fridge and so I let it be. - beds that should have been replaced at least a couple of years ago. Their life was literally hanging in balance. - overall, it is ok. but not at all up to the standards of the price that they charge.

Not worth 5k for a night. 5 star hotels in chennai are around the same price. Not at all worth the price at this hotel.

Disappointing
I booked the hotel for my wife and sister for her interview. Check in time was shown as 11.00AM. But when they came to hotel after a long travel for check in @ 10.45, manager at reception said the check in time was 12 PM and will be tough to get one now. At last he gave one room but it wasnt a satisfying one atleast. The room wasnt cleaned well(was mentioned they will change bed spreads only on check out), even the packaged water was much costly with these least facility given.

Stay at Deccan Plaza
Stay was ok, but the hotel staff behavior was not polite. Moreover there was a little ambiguity whether the breakfast was complimentary or not. I had two bookings, one from 6th to 9th and the other was from 7th to 9th. We got our second room allocated on 7th around 3:00 PM. We were informed that on 9th we have to check out at 12:00 PM, if we stay for long we need to pay Rs1500 extra. Even though we got our second room around 3:30PM, on 9th since we had to leave around 5:00PM, we were charged Rs1500 extra.

Hotel staff was very rude and not supportive at al
I checked in late and I had my visa interview the next day, I requested them for a late checkout around 3-4, since my flight was in the evening but the staff was so rude that they refused me on the face for the same. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I had to sit in their lobby until I was supposed to leave for my flight. The room was also not so clean and hygienic

Stay at the Hotel is satisfactory. We are not aware the Hotel has 24 hours checkout policy. Only on 3rd day morning they have informed that we should checkout at 8.30 am and we felt something strange. As per their desire we checked out at 9.00am.

Worst service and maintenance
Here are the things I didn't like it, First day when I entered into the room, I noticed that toilets are not clean....I stayed more than a week and most of the times, room service brought towels and bed sheets with STAIN. I cant even call outside from my room and they never fixed it. The food is horrible and pricy. There is no good restaurants in walkable distance as well. Overall, its is nice hotel with a worst service.

Good deal
The room and the hotel were as good as expected. A straight room comparison to many 5 star hotels. It lacks in having a swimming pool and other 5 star amenities though. Service wasn't good, had to make several calls to get something done. However overall it was a value for money deal.

The basic cost of room was Rs.5500. When I booked through hotels.com, I got it for 2700. Nice hotel and nice deal.

DECCAN DELIGHT!!!
Value for money; good location close to the Marina beach. Excellent for business travellers who are looking for all the comforts at a price that do not hurt the pocket too much.

Honest Feedback to my fellow travelers.
It was one of the worst Hotels i have ever stayed in. I was disappointed on the Quality of food, customer service and condition of the rooms. I had booked a luxury suite; however i was lodged in a lower category room, without my notice. Only after i voiced my concern about the old room furniture and non - operational Geyser, i was informed about it and i was shifted to the luxury suite. And now when it was time to catch up few hours of sleep before i broad my flight early morning, i realized that the AC was not functioning and the Geyser was non - operational again. I informed the reception about this and they were struggling to fix them, till 1:00 AM late night. There was no intimation by the manager on the situation and the staff was least bothered towards the comfort of the guest. Not sure if the AC was fixed finally, as i dozed off and woke up to a morning wakeup call at 4:00 AM only. I would not like to recommend this hotel to any business travelers.

A Good property, poorly managed
The infrastructure and the interiors are neat. But the service is pathetic. It took more than 3 reminders and 25 minutes to serve an extra glass. Also the beds are all coconut husk, hence very hard.

After checking into the hotel, I noticed that there was no security chain on the door. I asked if I could be moved to another room with a security chain and was told they would come back to me. A maintenance person arrived, looked at the door, and left, with no follow up. Although the room looked clean initially, on pulling back the covers, the sheets were covered in hairs. Eeeewwww!
