This unique waterfront home, sleeping 12, is the perfect getaway for relaxation and fun in the sun from "sun up to sun down"! Upon entering this beautiful home, you are greeted with mature hardwoods and light-colored furniture that depicts a fresh, peaceful, and serene feel. The tall ceilings of the main floor are filled with expansive windows, allowing the natural light of the sun to peek in while also providing magnificent views of the lake and woods to fill the home.

Upon stepping outside, you will find yourself transported to a backyard paradise! The pool is oh-so inviting. With a perfect view of the lake, it features two waterfalls, a sunning deck with an umbrella, and chaise lounges with a couch and tables to spend your day. The pool area is fenced to keep the kiddos and Fidos safe and close by.

There are plenty of options to fill your days and nights with both relaxation and adventure. Take a dip in the pool or go on a kayak ride to explore the lake. Play a game of corn hole, or just hang out and catch some rays on the sundeck. There are so many choices and memories to be made! At the end of the day, gather around the fire pit with family and friends to enjoy some s'mores while reminiscing over the day's adventures and planning the next day's activities!

Sun Up, Sun Down is filled with all the amenities you'll need right at your fingertips! The main level features two living areas, a dining area, a primary bedroom, and a kitchen. The gourmet kitchen is an excellent place for the group's chefs to have fun while enjoying the views of the lake. This gourmet kitchen has a 48" Viking gas range oven and a 40" Sub-Zero refrigerator. It's the perfect space to create a tasty meal for your family and friends. And, of course, for the coffee drinkers, there is a Keurig & drip coffee maker. The kitchen also has a table with seating for 4 and two bar seats at the counter to keep the resident chef company!

Off the kitchen is one of three comfortably furnished family/living rooms featuring a large sectional & 2 swivel chairs to watch TV or play a game. We cannot forget to mention the classy, newly installed wet bar with a wine fridge and mini fridge/freezer to store all the adult beverages. On the other side of the family room, you'll find a more formal living room with large windows, providing another place to enjoy the amazing lake views.

The sliders allow easy access to the deck, where you will find a grill and screened-in porch with a table and seating for 6. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise or your evening adult beverage at sunset. The main level primary bedroom features a cozy king bed with floor-to-ceiling windows and a slider to the deck. The ensuite bath has dual vanities, a glass shower, and a spacious soaking tub.

The upper level of the home features two bedrooms, a TV area, a hall bath, and a reading nook. The first bedroom on the top of the stairs has a king bed with a TV. On the opposite end of the house is the bunk room with two twin over full bunk beds sleeping 6. Attached to the bunk room is the kid's very own TV area furnished with comfy and fun seating where they can veg out after a long day on the lake - no adults allowed! Between the two bedrooms is a shared hall bathroom and a cozy reading nook, perfect for enjoying morning coffee while checking out the lake views.

The lower level consists of a bedroom with two queen beds, a full bath and a family room. The family room is another great place to hang out. It boasts a large, comfy couch, darts, a high-top table, and direct access to the pool level.

- Due to natural fluctuations, we’re unable to provide specific water depth information at any given time. The majority of docks in this area are generally suitable for most average-sized pontoons and ski boats. However, since boat drafts can vary, guests are encouraged to refer to Lake Norman nautical charts, GPS systems, and depth maps—and rely on their own knowledge of their vessel’s specifications—to ensure safe navigation.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

Family Vacation at Lake Norman

My family enjoyed our vacation in this house. It is large and comfortable. The pictures in the listing are accurate - no surprises. It was nice to have a lake view from almost every room. The kitchen is large, and has plenty of cooking equipment. The pool area was clean and comfortable. We used the kayaks and did some fishing right off the dock.

Great house!

Such a great family vacation! House was great and the description was very accurate. The pictures show it, but take note this is a house with many stairs. Just something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with a group of people who may have problems navigating many stairs. Would absolutely stay again!!

Despite horrible weather, we still enjoyed our stay

It rained five of the seven days we visited Lake Norman. That said, when we return we will definitely consider "Sun Up, Sun Down" and Lakecations! The home was ready and very clean when we arrived. The house is well equipped with everything you will need and arguably the softest towels known to man. The owners and management do a very nice job, actually the best we have experienced, in ensuring there is plenty of towels, soap, paper towels, trash bags, etc for you to immediately function in their home. This was appreciated. You can immediately tell that there has been an enormous amount of money recently invested in this property. The flooring and bathrooms have been nicely updated while the kitchen is next level. The grill options were great with plenty of propane on hand. There are a few small things that still need attention, but they would definitely not scratch this from the short list for next year. The deck is in need of replacement and the master bedroom door doesn’t fully close without a shoulder's help- opening it back up is a chore and LOUD. The main sliders out to the deck are also dated and very difficult to open and close. Again, none of these things made me feel we over-paid for this property. As mentioned, we had rain. The internet was sketchy from time to time, but this could have been due to the storms. The rain also didn't treat the landscape very well. The mulch was completely washed out. They might think about river rock there.
