« Very clean, great breakfes and the rate was about average for the Wausau/Merrill WI area. »

« I was satisfied with this hotel and would stay again. The inside was great. The only reason for four stars was that the outside grounds were not very well kept. »

« This is a motel that is far above most I have stayed in. Room is clean, the temperature was set to what I liked before I got there. Most times at other places the room is hot or cold and you have to wait for the catchup time before it would be comfortable. The staff was perfect, new there job, performed it perfectly. I didn't eat breakfast. The pool and hot tub were not in service and new this before I rented. I also wouldn't use the pool or hot tub anyway, wouldn't have had time. The best part...

« Short visit but good quality/price »

« I booked this hotel through Expedia to attend a conference. My colleague did the same. Hotel refuses to get me a receipt so I can't expense it, but they have given my colleagues a receipt. Horrible will not book again. »

« The lake view and sunset were great! Nice walk on a great sandy beach. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us ideas on where to eat! »

« We stayed here for one night, but will definitely will be coming back. The room was clean, comfortable and nice. Staff was very nice and helpful. Great staying! »

« A really magnificent departure from the mid-range, vanilla hotels that we business travelers frequent. You'll experience coolness overload when you stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the communal areas are stunning in a way that fans of Gustav Stickley, Teco, Weller, etc won't easily forget. The breakfast was superb too. The only drawback-It was really hot, and the A/C in this old girl couldn't keep up. Luckily there was a large fan in the room. Walking...

« Location was great- staff was helpful. My complaints are- rooms were musty and dusty. So, we left with stuffy noses and headaches. The second complaint is that the food for the breakfast bar was not stocked when it ran out 1/2 way through the allotted time for breakfast hours. So, for my family the pickings were slim to non. »

« Truly amazing hosts, Dan and Margaret make you feel so welcome. Their breakfasts are amazing, tarts and apple crisp to augment omelettes and pancakes! They take time to get to know their guests. The surrounding acres are beautiful riverside that you can take advantage of via kayak or canoe. It is adjacent to a YMCA facility so the stay is quiet and serene. Proximate to Rib Mountain park for hiking, or two renowned art museums, including the Leigh Yawkey Woodson "Birds in art" museum, it makes...
