L’hôtel vu de l’extérieur est magnifique. En revanche l’intérieur a besoin d’être rafraîchi. Les photos montrées ont certainement été prise 20 ans de cela . Aujourd’hui ceci ne ressemble plus trot à ces images proposées.

bien si vous voulez jouer au golf
cadre agréable,mais trop loin de Cardiff surtout quand la réception de l'hôtel refuse de vous appeler un taxi et vous propose de vous rendre à la gare la plus proche c'est à dire 6km à pied en empruntant une route dangereuse pour les piétons!!!!!

Room was dirty, found nail clippings on the carpet by the bed. Shower very temperamental. No lift for suitcases, wasn’t offered help. Limited vegetarian and vegan options. BUT Great fresh tin water supply and lovely view on ground floor outside.

The staff were exceptional, they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The gym and swimming pook were great and the spa treatment was excellent too.

Booked last minute to stay here after a disastrous booking at another hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and understanding and went that extra mile to help out. Absolutely wonderful stay. Very special thanks especially to Sofia on reception. Wonderful staff and a lovely location

Not worth it
Terrible night sleep due to pillows being too hard and next door having an argument with people outside at 2am. Food was alright in the restaurant, but when we tried to get some lunch before leaving in the bar, they didn’t have club sandwiches, ham hock or pesto… I don’t really understand how you can’t have a whole club sandwich, when there’s numerous elements to it that would have to be missing, so can only assume it’s pre-packaged? No golf as the course was waterlogged due to rain, which is no fault of the hotels, but a disappointment nonetheless. Definitely wouldn’t come back, it’s really not worth it.

We are here 24/7 to help with your needs. We have different pillow options to satisfy different tastes and can make any adjustments necessary for you. We have also recently updated our menus. They now have much more variety and decreased prices. It may have been within the change of menus that a few items were not in stock. We are sorry for this inconvenience. While corporate they remained flexible. Our golf was rained off and we got a voucher valid for a year. I was also a bit early for check inn. They kindly let me use the gym.

Excellent hotel for business trip to Chepstow
Very warm and comfortable rooms, which include excelant wifi and office desk wholich makes this hotel an excellent stop on business trips. Access to the well apoimted Gym, and excellent Golf course made this hotel an ideal spot to stay.

Lovely stay. Good facilities, lovely suite and excellent food. Good value Slightly noisy party on the room below for one night but certainly not the hotel’s fault. Slight mix up at check in - we were a party of 3 and the sofa bed wasn’t made up ready, and no spare bedding in the room. One quick call to reception and all was sorted really quickly - we appreciate things occasionally go awry, and it’s how these are dealt with which is the mark of how good a hotel is. The team were brilliant and shows the professionalism of the staff. We will return

Overall it’s a gorgeous hotel. The staff are smiley and friendly yet never intrusive. The food is a good standard but room service is shockingly expensive (£70 for a cheese sandwich, some bread and tomato dip and a chicken roll) and it would be nice if there was a walk in shower instead of over bath showers.

The hotel, its facilities, particularly the gym and spa, and the staff are all excellent. Unfortunately it’s let down by the room: foul smelling hallway, room in need of an update, no where to properly hang and dry towels, no mirror in front of the sink for shaving, no toilet lid nor toilet brush, furniture in need of an update, very hot in room, even with radiator off; could only marginally crack one window to let air in, no proper fan in bathroom so it misted up terribly. Lots of tiny, little things, but altogether, considering it is a 4 star, not a 2 star hotel, leave you with one big sour taste in the mouth. On the plus side, the gym and spa area are one of the most substantial I’ve seen at a hotel. If you like golf, you’ll probably love this place with its own course, putting green and driving range. The evening meal was pretty good and the staff were all really nice, helpful and attentive. Couldn’t fault them. They are all hard working and eager to help. Being a mixture of old buildings, the place is a bit of a maze, but this adds to its charm and the staff are on hand to direct you. Breakfast was substantial, but mediocre quality. Pretty standard for most hotels. All in all a good hotel that is let down solely by the rooms.
