Perfect for our family holiday
Anna Maria's villa was absolutely perfect for our group of 8 adults who gathered for a week to celebrate a milestone birthday. There is plenty of space to gather as a large group, but it is also very conducive to sneaking away for some quiet moments away from the group. The home was spotlessly clean and well appointed with any and everything we could possibly need. The grounds were well manicured and the pool area just sublime. The villa's location is ideal for anyone wanting to explore Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence, and beyond, with easy access to wineries, restaurants, a supermarket, and anything else you might need. Anna Maria connected us with local chef Antonella, who came to the villa one evening to prepare and serve dinner, and it was a highlight of our holiday. We recommend this villa 100%, and look forward to staying again someday.

Farmhouse bliss!
We were 6 adults and a 16 month old who stayed for a week at the end of September. Annamaria was very attentive to your needs but not intrusive. She is the perfect hostess. The farmhouse is welcoming and is well appointed and very comfortable. It has everything you need to make your holiday perfect. The house is spacious and allows everyone their own space when needed. The outdoor dining area is fabulous and idyllic. If you everyone wants to cook, the kitchen can be a little cramped but we managed just fine. We even had a cooking lesson done at the house. The house has everything you would need to accommodate a baby’s need. The outdoor space is sprawling and has olives trees, grapes and a beautiful garden. The pool is conveniently located down the small hill and surrounded by shrubs and fenced which was perfect with our grandchild. So there are no worries about the pool area. In general it is very quiet at night with only the church bell ringing. Pictures do not do the farmhouse and the grounds justice…it’s beyond beautiful. I would book this farmhouse again should we ever find ourselves in the area. Close proximity to Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence and many other places. Annamarie, thank you for the perfect stay.

Lovely villa, walking distance to restaurants and shops not far in the car. Pool a little distance from the villa but not a problem. Inside kitchen a little small but great oven / bbq outside. Amazing hosting and overall we had a great time! (Also a good base for many day trips in Tuscany).

Perfect family house
An ideal location for a family travelling with small children. Beautiful location, secluded and quit with a lovely pool area with fridge, freeze and toilet by the pool. We can highly recommend hiring a chef for an evening. The chef we got recommended by Anna Maria was wonderful and served many dishes typical of Tuscany. It was the best meal we had on our vacation in Italy. The host was very helpful and nice.

Under the Tuscan Sun
This is a fabulous property and the grounds are even more breathtaking than the pictures. The rooms are spacious, the AC in the bedrooms is wonderful and it has the feel of an authentic Tuscany villa which is what we were looking for. Anna Maria, the owner, was gracious and always available, and any problems that arose she quickly handled. You will need a car as nothing is within walking distance. That being said, both Lucca and Pietrasanta - towns which we LOVED - are less than 30 minutes away as is Pisa. Other day trips are Cinque Terre (boarding the train from Viareggio), Florence, Portafina and we took the train from Florence for a day trip to Venice as we flew directly into Florence. The closest town to the Villa is Camaoire which is a lovely small town 10 minutes away, but beware Italian towns close down in the afternoon and they usually reopen around 7 pm. You can always find an exception but not many. If you have the time you should also take the main road out of Camaoire to Lido di Camaoire, it's an easy 15 minute drive. It has a very wide boardwalk, nice restaurants and lots of public beach equipment for the kids. TIP: When on Italian highways, make sure to grab a ticket from the first toll booth you enter; otherwise, when you exit you will receive a $66 USD ticket which happened to us!! This property does not disappoint & everyone felt it was the highlight of our trip! Grazie Anna Maria!

Wunderschönes Haus auch im Winter!
Wir waren mit Freunden für eine Woche über Silvester in diesem wundervollen Haus und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Unser Gastgeberin Annamaria hat uns sehr liebevoll empfangen und war für uns jederzeit (auch schon vor unserer Ankunft) erreichbar. Grazie mille! Das Haus war sehr "cozy" eingerichtet und unglaublich sauber - und zwar vom Keller über die Küche bis hin zu den Schlaf- und Badezimmern im oberen Stockwerk. Die Kamine im Haus vermittelten uns von Beginn an eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, so dass auch ein Tag im Haus immer entspannend und gemütlich war. Wir hatten auch unsere beiden Hunde dabei, für die das voll eingezäunte Grundstück ein echter Traum war, so dass sie ungestört herumtoben konnten. Das Haus liegt auch hervorragend für Tagestouren nach Florenz, Pisa und Lucca oder um ans Meer zu fahren, das nur 20 Minuten von Nocchi entfernt war. Die Restaurants im Ort und im nahegelegenen Camaiore waren fast alle geöffnet, so dass man nie Probleme hatte, die hervorragende italienische Küche zu genießen. Fazit: Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Tuscan Fantasy Fulfilled!!
We were a group of seven adults and the villa (Casale il Melograno) was even more beautiful than the photographs. The property is beautiful and well maintained, including the lovely pool area. The house was clean with many thoughtful touches, such as pool towels, lots of table linens, bedrooms with wonderful lighting and a well equipped kitchen. Outdoor furniture is well maintained too. Some of us used the air conditioning in their bedrooms at night. Other bedrooms benefitted from the evening breeze. The house fit all of us comfortably and nothing beats breakfast or cocktail outside overlooking the Tuscan countryside. Anna Maria is an outstanding host.. She also provided excellent recommendations for a private chef, Antonella. (She was excellent-highly recommend also!) We feel fortunate to have experienced this home. Cannot wait to return.

Charming Countryhouse in Olive Garden
Spectacular garden with old olive trees, pomegranate tree, grapes to eat, and a large Pool for swimming and playing! The charming country house is in a quiet setting, we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Some details in the house layout, though, were a bit surprising, eg that two rooms had only one very small shared bathroom, and one other bathroom was in the basement and not easily accessible from the bedroom on the first floor. This was not clear from the online description. Also, the general maintenance status of pool area, garden furniture and house could be improved (our understanding was that this is planned for the coming winter). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the fantastic setting of the property!

Family Stay in the Tuscany
Marvelous ... this could be the right word to describe what we found at this place. Very tuscan style - I guess what we germans want if we think about a House in the Tuscany. The pictures on the ad give you a first insight of the entire property, but I can assure you that in real it is even better. The communication with the host, Anna-Maria, is easy and very responsive at all times. No problem at all - her general attitude is: "you are on vacation and it should feel so". Therefore, except personal belongings you don't need to think about anything as everything is available at the house. There are two supermarkets in the close neighbourhood of Camaiore (5-6 minutes). You can buy your food or anything else you need easily there. Of course, you need a car. It is not walking distance. The pool area is gorgeous and very relaxing. We had been there with 11 people. Because of the generous property you have enough space to stay for yourself, if you want to. If you like, ask Anna-Maria for a local cook. She cooked us one night with specialities from the area. It is not cheap, but remarkable and excellent. You will find at arrival a top-clean property, as a team of local people clean after every stay. Finally, it was vacation for everybody of us. Wunderschönes Haus in Meeresnähe
Vielen Dank an Annamaria für diese schöne Unterkunft! Ehemaliges Bauernhaus, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles bis in Detail durchdacht und vorhanden. Auch der Garten und Pool sind sehr gepflegt und schön gelegen mit Blick auf das Tal. Lage in den Hügeln von Camaiore sehr ruhig. Ca 20 min zum Meer. Wir kämen gerne mal wieder.

Our week in Nocchi
The villa was superb in every way. It was spacious, with every possible facility and equipment and the bedrooms were perfect. The garden and view were magnificent. It is not really a criticism but the heating system was not very easy to understand, although it worked well. An explanation was given but it was not easy to take in quickly. Perhaps the information booklet could contain a page on the details of the heating. It could also be made clear that shops and restaurants are not within walking distance - particularly important if guests arrive late. In summary, our holiday at the villa was wonderful.

Die Lage ist etwas versteckt am Hang 15 Fahrminuten vom Meer, Sehr schönes und super eingerichtetes Haus! Die Gastgeberin hat einfach an Alles gedacht - zudem ist die Einrichtung sehr stilvoll und qualitativ hochwertig ! Wir haben dort mit der erweiterten Familie Weihnachten gefeiert und uns durch die Gastgeberin Annamaria organisierte Gastköchin Antonella 2x herrlich bekochen lassen!

Lovely and romantic house
The house is just fantastic, it has everything you could want. We stayed for a week in September and were three generations. The surrounding area is beautiful and invites you to explore and relax. There are many little corners to sit and even more details to look at. The kitchen is very well equipped, even if you have small children. The pool is large and there are plenty of sunbeds, a pool house and even a toilet. The pool is closed off so that children can not play unsupervised at the pool. My personal highlight was the Ofyr grill, which I really enjoyed using for cooking. Annamaria is a very nice and helpful hostess, we will be happy to come back. This location is a treasure and perfect to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. P.S.: For almost most activities like shopping a car is needed. But a good restaurant is only 300m away.

Anna Maria was a wonderful hostess who helped us with all our questions and needs. The house is beautiful and functional at the same time, and though it was definitely the end of the season and the water was a bit chilly, we swam in the lovely pool every day. Thank you Anna Maria!

GREAT TIME AT CASALE II MELOGRANO
Absolutely gorgeous place !!! Great host !!! Anna Maria did everything possible to accommodate our slightly early arrival. There is plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms & living space for everyone !!! We mostly spend our time outside, which is absolutely beautiful. The swimming pool area very sunny & private. It is not far from the house at all. Just a few steps... Drive to the villa is uphill but easy. Large parking in front of the villa to accommodate several cars. There is few great restaurants minute away from the villa. Few large supermarkets near by as well. Using a chef service at least for one dinner is highly recommended. Antonella created unforgettable evening for us . Camaiore located near main highway that will get you to many touristy destinations many of which are must see. Pietrasanta just 20 minutes away. Love it, and would consider re-visiting it soon !!!

Kleines Paradies für einen perfekten Urlaub
Wir haben mit 7 Erwachsenen und drei Kindern (7, 14 und 16 Jahre) einen 3-Generationen-Urlaub in Nocchi verbracht und sind alle rundum sehr zufrieden. Das Haus von Anna-Maria in Nocchi ist traumhaft schön. Es entsprach in allen Details der Beschreibung in der web-side von fewo-direkt. Unsere Skepsis bestätigte sich nicht. Die Zimmer waren schön und in etwa gleichwertig, so dass sich niemand zurückgesetzt fühlen musste. Die vielen schattigen Plätze auf dem großen Hanggrundstück, die überdachte Terrasse, die 10 Personen Platz bot, und der schöne Pool mit ausreichend Liegeplätzen haben uns alle begeistert. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es ausreichend in Camaiori. Ein Pkw ist allerdings unerlässlich. Die Betreuung durch Frau Anna Maria war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Amazing Villa!!
Amazing Villa!! We stayed at Anna Maria’s villa for a week for our summer vacation in Tuscany. The house was truly amazing and and location perfect to visit Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Florence and many more towns around Tuscany. Anna Maria and her husband renovated the house with a focus on historic detail, but with all the modern amenities of 2019. The house, gardens and grounds around the house were all immaculate and the pool was a perfect place to relax at the end of the day and enjoy the views of the surroundings hills. We had a group of 8 people, including three teenagers and two grandparents and the house worked for all of us. Anna Maria was a gracious host who met us when we arrived and showed us everything we need to know about the house. We also had a local chef, Antonella, cook 2 dinners at the house which was an amazing experience and an opportunity to eat true regional meals you would not find in a restaurant. The small town of Camaiore was 5 min drive and has everything you need including an amazing winery (Cantine Angeli) where you can get fresh wine and arrange for wine tastings. Locals bring jugs to be filled straight from the fermenting tanks or you can buy bottles or boxes of their wines. There is also a great small pizzeria/restaurant (Antico Frantoio) in the town of Nocchi that we loved and was within a short walking distance. We loved this villa and hope to visit again!

Lovely Week in Camaoire
Anna was a lovely host and very attentive when we needed anything, as well as respectful of our privacy. The property was as described and did not disappoint. The landscaping and grounds were absolutely beautiful. The pool was spectacular (although note that the shallow end was not as shallow as what we would have in the US, so a touch deep for little ones). The bedrooms were very well decorated and spacious. Grocery store and wine shop only five minutes away. We engaged Chef Romina to cook on two occasions and it was a nice treat to not have to cook or clean and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. The house itself is very tucked and off the beaten path, so we did have a little difficulty finding it. I suggest following Anna’s written instructions carefully! Overall a wonderful family holiday and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend.

A lovely house and a beautiful garden with a lot of trees, fruits, flowers and herbs
Our family of seven adults really enjoyed the stay at Casale il Melograno. The house was fantastic with splendid rooms and beds for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped and we all loved Cooking in these surroundings. The garden is placed in a sloping hill ending in a nice pool where we spent a lot of time swimming and playing different water games. In the small village Nocchi there were both a Pizzeria and a Restaurant in walking distances. They served well-tasting typical Italian meals and the servants were pleasant and also spoke English. In Camaiore, the closest town, there was a supermarket, street markets and a lot of different shops. We visited Lucca, Pisa and Lido di Camaiore and also spent one day walking in the surrounding mountains. We all give Casale il Melograno our best recommendations. Terrific property, wonderful host
Annamaria's house is very well appointed and perfectly suited our group of friends. The bedrooms are well spaced, and could easily accommodate our mixed group (some couples, some singles, no kids). There are various common areas (inside and out), which gave a terrific sense of space (no-one felt crowded). The grounds are immaculate and the pool is wonderful - it gets the sun all day. Annamaria had various recommendations for local activities and restaurants, including a local chef (Romina) who came in to cook some superb meals for us. We ate all our meals outside, on a wonderful long table - either down by the pool or up at the house. The house is well situated to explore the local area - we went to Pisa, Lucca, Viareggio, Lido di Camaoire, Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi (by car) and also ventured to the Cinque Terre and Florence (in the train). However, we also spent a lot of time lounging around the house / by the glorious pool.

Anna Maria's home was spectacular. Everything was as advertised and the pool was even better than expected. We were eight, 2 families, with 2 girls and 2 boys ages 12-16. Everyone had plenty of space. Beds were very comfortable. It was extraordinarily warm during our visit so the air conditioning in the bedrooms at night was perfect, but during the day with the windows (screened) open and the breezes blowing it was very nice. Nocchi is a nice quiet place with a couple of good and family friendly restaurants. I would recommend heading up to Pieve for a night or 2. There are 2 good restaurants up that way, only 5 minute drive. Nice day trips to Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Cinque Terre, but always nice to come back to the house, swim, play cards, enjoy the music system at the pool, nap, etc. Would have liked to stay another week just to do nothing, but that will be for another time. Without any reservations, I would recommend this for 2 families traveling together or even several couples.

Great location and beautiful villa in Tuscany!
I visited with family, friends and my daughter for 2 weeks. The gardens and ground are absolutely beautiful. Annamaria is a very attentive host and provided great recommendations for local Day trips, restaurants and a private chef to cook for us at the villa. I highly recommend staying here as it makes a perfect home base. You can’t go wrong. There were floaties and everything you need for the pool as well for afternooon fun.

We had a great holiday and spent much of the time at the beautiful pool. The villa was very clean and comfortable. Only down side was big electricity bill to be paid on checkout even though we hadn’t used air conditioning or heating.

Great Tuscan Home Base
My friends and I rented this home for a week and had an amazing time. The owner was very friendly and recommended restaurants, showed us places nearby on a map, and gave a tour of the house. However when we arrived the owner had told us she was charging us extra if we went over a certain amount on electricity which was not stated in the house description. But we weren't going to let this ruin our vacation! The house can be hard to find at first as the google maps location is a bit off. Be sure to ask specifics before arriving on how to get to the house as to avoid driving in circles. This house offers a lot of facilities for a truly relaxing Tuscan experience. It can get very hot in August so hanging around the pool was great. We loved all of the delicious fruit trees in the yard and munched on what it had to offer every day. We made fresh pasta and pizza in the wood fired oven in the front of the house. Then we often had these delicious dinners outside. But beware of the mosquitoes! We also had some fresh eggs from the chicken coop! Wifi was pretty slow, but better than nothing. There's plenty of sleeping space for everyone. There is a shared bathroom for 2 of the rooms that oddly had the toilet in the shower. Loved how all of the bathing towels, pool towels and linens were included. There was also a washing machine so we always had plenty of clean clothes and linens. Only downside was not being told in advance about paying for extra electricity used, but ultimately this was a beautiful home and helped us have what we envisioned as a Tuscan getaway!

Amazing Tuscan Paradise
I recently stayed at this home with my wife, our toddler and 4 more family members. The home was amazing. Comfortable, well taken care of, and absolutely beautiful. The property is just as spectacular and the hostess (Annamaria) could not have been nicer. Camiore is a nice, small Tuscan town that is a 5 minute drive. The house is about 30 minutes from Lucca, 75 minutes from Florence and 20 minutes from the beautiful Lido di Camiore beaches. If you're looking for a wonderful Tuscan home this is your place!

Wonderful oasis!
We had a wonderful week long stay here in early August. The house is beautiful inside and out. Every detail is attended to. Anna Maria was very responsive in connecting us with a chef for a few nights of cooked meals as requested and she also was able to accommodate our needs for a baby cot, high chair and gate as we had two families; one with very small children. In addition to the above, there were games and books in the house; anything we needed for cooking/entertaining, floats and toys at the pool- it was really perfect. We are Americans living in the UK and this was a special holiday where family joined us from the US. It was a beautiful setting & perfect environment for all our needs.

Beautiful home in a lovely location
We had a wonderful week at this home with our family of five. The pictures really don't do it justice and both the inside and outside of the home are beautiful. Bedrooms are spacious, kitchen is modern and well equipped, WIFI coverage is amazing and the pool area is like an oasis. The entire property is well thought out and very accommodating for guests. My children especially loved the chicken coop on the property and my husband loved the OFYR grill. There are two good restaurants within walking distance of the property and many more to be found 10 min away in Camaiore. The beach is also 15-20min away and we spent a lovely day at a local beach club. The small mountain towns nearby are not to be missed and there's so much to do in the area including beautiful hiking trails. Lucca is 30-40 min away and an easy drive. Wish would would have stayed another week. Annamaria is lovely and very easy to reach with any questions/ concerns

Absolutely charming Tuscan countryhouse
We visited Il Melograno in the last week of August 2016 and could not be more satisfied with the house and all the guidance that Anna Maria had for us. Our group of 10 fit perfectly to the house and there was enough space for the kids and adults. The house was perfect, and it had even more quality and own traditional style than in pictures. Clean, equipped and beautiful. The house has been restored with such a unique and detailed way. After reading the books in the house, we understood why. We loved to explore all the details of the interior, wallpapers and textiles. All the bedrooms had its own beautiful style, enough space and cabins. In sunny weeks, individual air conditioning in all rooms was great. Also the kitchen was very well equipped and we had several superb dinners with local ingredients. The best part, at least for the kids, was the pool by the olive trees. It did not bother us that there was couple of steps from the main house. But the pool was clean and big enough, and offered us and our 4 kids endless fun during the sunny week. The neighborhood of the house is very quiet and surrounded by the beautiful hills. The hills, or mountains, close to the house offered us a lot of fun since we discovered marvelous trails for running and hiking. There is several +1000 m peaks close in Nocchi area. We loved also the small village of Nocchi as well as the restaurant less than 1 km away from the house. Since we had couple of cars, we visited Camaiore for groceries and eating out. The lido de Camaiore was also nearby and beach can be reached only in 15 minutes.
