Long weekend stay
Perfect bach to stay with young kids. It’s a handy walk to the beach and a great place to use as a base to explore Matakana also. Martin was wonderful and so helpful during our stay. Would highly recommend!

Peaceful stay
Very enjoyable stop en route to the northern tip of North Island. Our eldest loved the bunk beds and we had everything we needed. Quiet location too.

Kawau Bay Beach House has everything you need. Near to the beach, beautiful holiday home, clean, cozy, warm furnishing and a wonderful landlord. Great base from which to explore the region.
Clean and tidy property. Enjoyed being able to open up the doors to the deck area and dine outdoors. Was under the misconception we could see or be closer to the water. However, it was a perfect base to explore the nearby bays and beaches, which were stunning (and at times we had them all to ourselves!). Four adults in the house made it a tight squeeze on the two small couches in the lounge for tv movie nights in (minor niggle). But we appreciated the board games and had a competitive fun game of scrabble one night!

Martin's property was really an amazing and comfortable property. All the rooms are modern, clean, and the amenities available are simply excellent. Martin was friendly and communicative from the get-go, and my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10/10.

Absolutely magical stay
We had the most wonderful stay at Martin’s beautiful property. He has thought of everything (including plasters which I needed after cutting my finger while preparing Christmas lunch, haha!) and his home is immaculate. The location is fantastic, about 10 mins walk to the beach. Martin is such a great host and the property is so peaceful. He recommended Bayside cafe and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast there. We can’t wait to go back to this little piece of paradise. Highly recommend!

Great location with a short trip from Auckland. Not by the beach but close enough to meet our needs. Close to Matakana and the market with great place’s to dine. Host Martin is awesome and very helpful with tips of things to do. Very clean, well appointed it’s certainly a great destination for a long weekend away.

Wish we could stay longer.
I'm not sure where to start - so many bouquets!! Martin was so friendly and welcoming; the cottage was comfortable, clean and spacious; perfect location. We will definitely be back next Christmas.

AMAZING ACCOMMODATION!!!
This is one of the best accommodations I have stayed in. The place was so clean, comfortable and had everything we could need. You can tell a lot of care, thought and attention was put into the little details and touches in the place to make sure the guests had an enjoyable stay. We had a lovely little basket of fruit and goodies to welcome us and Martin was lovely to communicate with. The location is absolutely perfect, only a 5 - 10 minute drive to the markets, beaches, cafes and restuarants - yet away from all the noise and busy streets and areas. Can't wait to stay again!

Only a short stay but one of the best stays
The owners thought about the smallest details and things you need to make it a great stay. We received a delicious welcome basket with fruits and snacks. We arrived late at night and were received by a warm welcome. The owner was happy to give us the key and turn on the lights. Beautifully decorated and feels like home. A place where can stay for months. Recommended!....Recommended!

It’s a beautiful home. We loved our stay there. It had everything we needed -the location was tops!
Fabulous! We would come back for a longer stay so we could relax more, enjoy cooking on the bbq and alfresco dining and just enjoying life as a family. We really loved the owners who were really helpful. Thank you Martin!
