Old hotel, when you ask reception to book you a cab, they just give you a number telling you to do it by yourself, 2h to get 1 entrée and 1 burger,...room wide but old furnitures

Superbe hôtel au cachet traditionnel anglais
Une superbe surprise. L’ensemble du personnel est souriant, serviable, et attentionné. La chambre dans un état impeccable. Petit déjeuner très bon et restaurant bar très agréable.Le cachet anglais tel que je l’apprécie.Je recommande l’établissement

Excellente étape en famille
Une auberge très sympathique, dog friendly, avec un grand espace en extérieur pour les enfants et un pub très agréable. Chambres pas toutes jeunes mais confortables.

Bonne adresse pour un séjour typiquement Anglais
Nous sommes restés une nuit dans une chambre familiale (2 adultes 1 enfant), spacieuse et calme. Lit confortable, couettes. Accueil chaleureux. Deco très british. Quelques petites rénovations à prévoir notamment dans la salle de bain mais rien de gênant et baignoire spacieuse. Belle salle de restaurant. Petit déjeuner inclus (excellent petit déjeuner Anglais mais à commander, pas de buffet). Nous n'avons pas profité des extérieurs car météo défavorable mais ils avaient l'air agréables. Environnement calme. Parking sur place. Petit bémol pour le wifi (gratuit mais nécessité de créer un compte en donnant des informations personnelles). Très proche d'Ashford (voiture nécessaire). Retour tard le soir possible (clé fournie), bien en cas de concert. Parlant Anglais, je n'ai pas testé si l'équipe savait parler français.

Le parking était boueux a notre arrivée et il est petit lors de la forte influence du restaurant. Service billetterie inexistant. Les employés ne parlent pas la langue française alors que l’hôtel est proche de la frontière.

personnel disponible et très avenant ( renvoi même les objets oubliés à leurs frais) couloirs à refaire mais chambre propre et linge aussi (moi qui suis maniaque !) restaurant plaisant ! un cadre positif pour une petite visite en famille !

The room a bit old and outdated, but it worked, but for less money, I have stayed at a bigger chain, which also has Aircon, We had what seemed to be kitchen vents directly outside the windows, Unsure how they even rent this room, one of the downlights were flickering all night, it isn't staffed after 10, in the late morning just before 12, tried to find someone to talk to this about, but spent about 10-15 minutes looking for someone, found a contractor looking into the ceiling, nothing more, eventually as I was about to give up I found someone just about to start, explained my issue and told my room number, was already running late, expected to come back to the bulb at least changed, but nothing was done, leaving in the AM, and no one around to even discuss this with, I probably wouldn't stay again due to this to be honest, Wifi was terrible <2mb.

Frühstück gibt es leider erst ab 8 Uhr, das war für uns zu spät. Zimmer sind sehr abgewohnt und nicht wirklich sauber. Vermutlich durch den Teppich auch nicht besser sauber zu bekommen. Angenehm ist das angegliederte Restaurant mit bar und großem Garten. Für einen Übernachtungsstopp ok, wenn man Abstriche bei der Sauberkeit machen kann und entweder auf Frühstück verzichten oder erst um 8 Uhr frühstücken möchte

We never got to stay at this property. We had some unforeseen circumstances and had to check-in late. We called the property thrice to make sure we can checkin late and they kept reassuring us that they will send us instructions to do a self check-in after hours. We drove there for 2 hours only to realize they neither sent us the instructions or were available to check us in (we had no network on our phones to ensure mid way if they sent us the instructions). We could have easily returned home instead of driving all the way. It was just reckless on their part to not clearly communicate with us. We had to run around in the middle of the night to find an alternate hotel since it's the long weekend. We luckily found one after trying a handful but it was three times the price. We already paid for The Conningbrook so we ended up paying 4 times the original price.

I loved staying there my room was clean and large but the internet went out the second day I was there and it was spotty rest of the time. Since I’m from the states I had no carrier in London and since the internet was down I couldn’t connect to the WiFi so I couldn’t make phone calls, look up information, check facebook, or check in with my family. It was very frustrating.

The room was nice, although walking across the room was very noisy, and very loud creeking with every step, could hear others moving around through the night to, which kept waking me up. The building can do with being upgraded as alot of old windows etc look tatty and chipped, floors far to creeky. Overpriced for a room that is so noisy and smelt of damp. Im a busy working mum who rarly gets time to myself, and very little sleep at home, not the relaxing me time i had hoped for, the very loud creeky floors made it impossible to sleep through. Alot of money for a room that is very noisy and not the relaxing time i had hoped for.

We needed a quiet, comfortable hotel to stay in overnight as we had a local funeral the following day. This place was ideal being well placed, clean and quiet with welcoming and efficient staff. The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom clean and well presented. The hotel is a little 'tired' decor wise but has some lovely original features which reflect its slightly faded glory. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We were very pleased with our stay and will return if back that way.

Hotel was ok it meet my needs for one night, i didnt use the restaurant so i cant comment. Easy check in and out. Floor boards really need looking at, you can hear everyone walking around.

Ok stay the room was nice but the bathroom was cold and the shower was useless. It was freezing cold then burning hot and there was no power. The shower curtain hadn’t been fitted properly so would stick to you. Extremely thin walls and the door you had to slam to close therefore we got woken everytime someone came in. There was a live band on in the pub and it was super loud you could hear it word for word and couldn’t hear the tv over it. This should have been mentioned at the time of booking and then we could have booked elsewhere.

I could stay there every night :-)
I honesty cannot recommend this hotel enough. Our room was lovely, so spacious, great bathroom, very comfortable memory foam mattresses, great mirrors, towels and everything you would need. Large TVs that actually work. Tea and coffee. Sofa, plenty of storage, table and chairs. Hair dryer. Shower was lovely, like a rainfall. Bath was a huge jet tub with a seat although I’m not sure the jets worked. Lots of toilet roll, towels, body wash, hand wash and shampoo. You’d need to take conditioner. They give you a key to the main entrance door in case you want to come back late which is great. Easy key drop off. Free WiFi that works. Heater in the room. Large restaurant onsite and they book your table for the evening as soon as you arrive. There was live music the weekend we stayed. Loads of free parking. Two large local play parks for kids. Beer garden. Restaurant food was okay but we would probably eat elsewhere next time. Overall we absolutely loved it and definitely want to go back. It was shocking cheap too! We were really happy.
