« The check-in was a snap. The room was ready and clean. The hotel information handout was helpful. Their listing and overview of restaurants was comprehensive. The hotel location was so close to the historic district. Within minutes of slow walking we were in the Main St/Bench historic area; we also casually walked to an excellent restaurant (Fried Green Tomatoes) on Main St. Nate, the hotel manager was so cordial and welcoming. uarent »

« This is a great location! Easy to get to downtown Galena in a few minutes. Country place without being too secluded. Very quiet neighbors. Residents were very cheerful and welcoming. Nice to have beautiful views and only a short drive to downtown Galena or Dubuque where there is more to do if you have kids staying or for a movie or dinner. Club where the pool is located is a very nice place. I would stay and this location again! »

« Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. »

« It's a very simple building but still easy to get warm despite it being cold enough to snow overnight. The property was clean and tidy, and the choice of furniture and fittings was well thought out. It was easy to find and located at the front of the farm just off a quiet dirt track, it's like having the place to yourself, which is exactly what I wanted. I spent one of the days in the Cabin and walking to the state forest preserve without driving, but there are plenty of restaurants and grocery...

« This cabin has all the bells and whistles for a great stay. The view was great, the hot tub was hot, the loft was very cute, and the tiny versions of things were adoreable. We were maybe 15 feet from the water. It was quiet and private. »

« This little A Frame house made for a wonderful, cozy stay for my husband and I on our second honeymoon! The online pictures didn't do this classy house justice! It was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, good size lot, had everything we could need. Hope to stay here again! »
