« There was no one onsite when I arrived a little past 5 (reception off at 5pm), I had no internet (no place to buy SIM card nearby) and a lady across the street helped me to call but no one answered. It got me a bit worried being in San Jose after dark; wish entry instruction was communicated beforehand. Eventually I got in contact with the owner and the night shift staff onsite, Dyla, was AMAZING! The place is clean but no window in the room except for an opening towards the hall. I saw no one...

« Quartier avec beaucoup de sans-abris qui vous accoste avec insistance pour de l'argent. L'hôtel est très sombre, ça fait un peu peur. Les gens qui s'en occupe ont l'air complètement déconnectés et parraissent très étrange. Il n'y avait pas de draps de dessus, juste une couverture pour dormir... Un peu glauque...Je ne recommande pas forcément, ou alors seulement une nuit... »

« I am grateful for the amazing affordability of this hostel which was also paired with a low-key easy-going atmosphere. When I was told that there would be “a pancake” in the morning I wasn’t expecting much but I was happily surprised to discover that this pancake was very large, neither over cooked nor under cooked and it was decorated with two different fruits on top along with syrup of course. Thank you! I’m so grateful. »

« I am very very disappointed in this hostel. There were no actual door locks. The property is old and not in good repair and worst of all is that my mattress smelled very strongly of cat urine. Really! They tried to cover it up by hanging a toilet bowl sanitizer on the wall of the room. I removed it because the fumes were overwhelming. Also... they rent rooms by the hour! Yikes. It was the worst experience for me in a hotel/hostel, and I am a world wide traveller and often opt for...

« This place is CLOSED yet hotels.com keeps offering it online. I booked through hotels.com as part of my trip and when I got their and the hotel was no longer in operation, and it was a nightmare dealing with hotels.com. They are pushy and it is a mess. When I started demanding my money back, a pushy person who spoke broken English called to sell me ANOTHER hotel, but refused to give me my money back. I am realizing hotels.com is a racket. »
