Un séjour moyen
Un petit hôtel, tenu par un personnel sympathique, plutôt bien situé. Les chambres sont très propres, mais un peu spartiates. Le petit-déjeuner est très bien. Deux bémols cependant : les chambres sont très mal insonorisées (j'avais une chambre avec la tête de lit quasiment collée à la porte d'entrée, et j'entendais l'intégralité des conversations de mes voisins de chambre) et la literie est moyenne (ressorts, donc lit très mou). Je ne pense donc pas revenir dans cet hôtel.

y'a pas photo
Arrivés à l'hôtel vers 16h accueil très froid réceptionniste pas du tout souriante à la limite désagréable. En plus nous avions oublié de regarder sur internet lors de la réservation si il acceptait les chiens.Justement nous avons un tout petit chien.On nous a donc fait comprendre que la direction de l'hôtel allait prendre la décision soit on restait soit on partait mais comme nous avions déjà réglé la réservation par internet la direction a donc décidé que nous pouvions rester car cela compliquait les choses si la direction devait nous rembourser la chambre si nous allions ailleurs.Du coup l'hôtel nous a réclamé Frs.50.-- supplémentaire pour le chien. Cela s'appelle profiter d'une situation. Résultat plus du tout envie de retourner dans cet hôtel. PS. La literie et les oreillers vraiment pas confortable.

Grüezi Martine Thank you for your recent stay at our hotel Helmhaus Zurich. We regret to read that we could not convince you with the quality of our rooms. In general we do receive very good comments about the comfort of our rooms and the quality of our beds. New high quality Swiss mattresses as well as new sheets and bed linen have replaced the previous fittings. Also do we regret to learn about your dissatisfaction in regards to our well-meant concession to you in regards to the dog you brought with you. We have offered you to stay under certain conditions in regards to your dog instead of simply rejecting it. Thus you did not have to search for another hotel. If you felt that we took advantage of the situation – this was definitely not the case. We do ask for your understanding that by bringing a pet (dog, cat, etc) to a hotel that is not prepared for it an additional effort of cleaning is put on the housekeeping: the room has to have a special cleaning of pet’s hair in case the following guests react allergically to it. So the supplement of CHF 50.00 was made. This is customary in many hotels. We are sorry if you felt our team members having been unfriendly during that situation upon your arrival. As bystander during your check in I ensure you that the conditions and facts in regards to the exception made with your dog were being professionally and politely communicated to you. Un bon 3* mais il manque beaucoup pour un 4*
D'une manière générale compte tenu de la qualité de l'hôtel dans son ensemble et de ses aménagements (parties communes et chambre) et des services offerts, il me semble que cet hôtel est plutôt à classer dans la catégorie 3* bien tenu plutôt que 4*. L'accueil est très chaleureux mais le personnel ne va jamais aux devants des attentes des clients. L'isolation des chambres est très insuffisante (on entend marcher et ronfler d'où la distribution de petit chaussons dont l'utilisation est demandée par l'hôtel). La rénovation utilise des matériaux de qualité très approximative et on sent que c'est le mode économique qui a été choisi au détriment d'un vrai confort. Le mobilier est en fait très élémentaire ainsi que la décoration. Pas de vrai lobby ni de bar donc pas d'endroit pour se poser en dehors de la chambre. Petit déjeuner buffet sans grand effort (sauf thé feuille ce qui devient de plus en plus rare). La salle de bain est restée dans son jus et aurait mérité d'être rafraichie de manière plus complète. Produits disponibles bio mais de qualité très moyenne et disponibilité de type 3*. Le choisir qu'en cas de promotion car peut alors être un bon qualité/prix.

Very good hotel in Zurich. Great location but surprisingly for Switz....the service of the staff is very good and commendable. The fact that breakfast is included is nice. Rooms are comfortable. Would highly recommend the hotel.

This is a truly wonderful hotel. Room was big and airy, comfortable bed, good quality shower, lovely toiletries in bathroom. Location is great, walkable to most of sights, and very near a tram stop for going further afield. Restaurants a stones throw away. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was fantastic. For the price though they should have had better beds. They were much too hard and lumpy. The room was much too light at night with light seeping through the top and sides of the curtains. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered.

Lovely Boutique Hotel
The location and cleanliness could not have been better. The room truly was immaculate and we were steps away from some of the more sought after historic buildings. Being close to the water was also a plus as we enjoyed strolling along it in the evening enjoying the beauty of the lights and the accordion player. As a runner I appreciated being close to sidewalks that led me to the river’s edge. Water pressure in the shower was great. Lighting in the bathroom was good. The bed comforter was very nice. Staff loaned us an outlet converter for our electronics, since the one I purchased before journeying abroad did not work. There was no fee for this. Staff was friendly and helpful in assisting us in purchasing tram tickets ahead of time. It was quite convenient to have a tram stop a few hundred feet or left from the front door. The breakfast was very nice and included hot and cold items. Coffee and tea service was around the clock and wine was available around the click on an honor system. These items were not offered in the room itself, which did not bother us in the slightest. Lovely boutique hotel.

Zimmer 14. Mein dritter oder vierter Aufenthalt im Hotel Helmhaus - und definitiv nicht der letzte! Die Lage in Bezug auf die Altstadt von Zürich ist ideal, das Personal (soweit ich mich erinnere, handelt es sich um ein familiengeführtes Hotel) ist freundlich, zuvorkommend und bescheiden. Das Zimmer, das mir zugeteilt wurde, war wirklich einladend, hell und geräumig (abgesehen vom Badezimmer) und es war blitzsauber. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass das Personal sehr stolz auf ihre Arbeit ist, dass sie ihre Arbeit mögen und sich darauf konzentrieren, Qualität für die Gäste zu liefern. Für mich ist das Hotel eine wunderbare Basis, um nach einem langen Tag im schönen Zürich nach Hause zu kommen. Meine wärmsten Empfehlungen :)

Spacious room for 3 people. Clean and comfortable. Room did get a bit hot as we were on the 4th floor and A/C didn't seem to cool as much as expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Location can't be beat as you can walk to so many great places and also have easy access to trams, buses and trains. Expensive, but that's the quality of the hotel, the size of room the location and being in the Old Town of Zurich.

Our A/C is not in service yet, since the outside temperature is barely reaching 15C and we still had minus temperatures during the night. Staff was incredibly helpful when we needed a reservation for dinner, directions to a destination and umbrellas for a walk in the rain. The room was spacious and beds were super comfortable. Location location location!!!! Staff are very helpful Helmhaus is tucked in the heart of Zurich peace and quiet. Walkable to everywhere. Train Station,Tram, Zurick lake is few steps from the Hotel. Breakfast is great ! When booking include the free breakfast it makes a huge difference in budgeting. Save it for shopping! 😉 Highly recommended. Husband and I are very happy we stayed 8 nights in Hotel Helmhaus

Great location - very convenient to walk around the old town and near the lake. Staff are super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are modern and clean. We are a family of five and stayed in two connecting rooms on the top floor. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to any family coming to Zürich!

Dear GuestThank you for taking the time and writing us a review. Our hotel is ca. 10-15 minutes walking distance from Zurich main station, 5 minutes away from the train station Stadelhofen and just 1 minutes away from the tram stop "Helmhaus". We are located in the heart of Zurich Old Town surrounded with charming cobblestone streets - luckily you only have to walk 50m on them to reach the main road. We hope that apart from the difficulties with your luggage you enjoyed the stay with us and wishing you all the best!Kind regards
