What began as a modest homestead cabin built in 1952, Villa Paloma was thoughtfully renovated and completely modernized by the internationally renowned husband and wife duo of Wolfgang and Connie Pichler in 2021. This modern hacienda is the dream of musician Josh Charles and his award-winning travel blogger wife, Krystal, who curated this one-of-a-kind home based on their most memorable travel experiences with a sharp focus on providing their guests the ultimate desert escape.

The shaded dining patio, surrounded by 100-year-old Joshua trees, juniper trees, agaves, ocotillos and national park views, is perfect for an evening barbecue. The sunset perch comes with a pair of swivel loungers, ideal for soaking up the 360-degree valley-to-mountain pink sky views. The elevated meditation / yoga deck, tucked into the boulders, transforms into the ultimate stargazing and fireside storytelling setting at night. - The red line is the property boundary and you can hike anywhere inside of that.
- The yellow line is the fire pit concrete pad up there. This is basically as far as you can go that direction.
- The orange circle is the neighbor who's most upset by the trespassing, hence the yellow line is as far as you can go. You can't see his house from the yellow line, which is why it's hard to tell anyone is back there.

◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.

◦ RULES:
Noise ordinance:
Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.

◦ SMOKING POLICY
No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees

◦ Restricted Areas:
Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.

◦ Hot Tub/Pool:
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.


◦ Photoshoots & Video:
No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.
