Make lasting memories in your own playground loaded with a star gazing deck, a hot tub, hammocks, outdoor dinning and your own fire pit. Only 10-minutes to town, 20-minutes to Pioneertown, and 20-minutes to Joshua Tree National Park.

* Please be aware that parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited in this house. We prioritize the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all our guests, as well as our neighbors. We kindly request that you respect this policy during your stay. Failure to do so, will result in a 500 USD fine for guests.

* Additionally, any late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a 100 USD fee.

Guests have private access to the entire house as well as free Wi-Fi, free garage parking, and access to streaming apps on the smart TV.

Hot Tub rules:
To protect your own health and safety and the integrity of tub and linens, all guests must shower before and after using hot tub.
No pets of any kind or size in hot tub.
Please leave spa covers on and secured after use. Spa cover is for insulation only and is not designed to support weight. Please do not stand or sit on spa cover.

As you walk in the main room you'll find stunning design choices carefully curated throughout the home.

The living room is large and cozy and includes of a working terra-flame fireplace. Sit back and relax on the comfy leather couch and listen to classics from on the record player or turn on the Samsung TV and enjoy Sonos quality sound.

Cooks will love our fully equipped kitchen and will have a lovely time hosting meals. The only question will be where to gather? The inside dining room is beautifully lit by imported pendant lamps with dimmers to set the mood. Or dine alfresco in the outside dining area on those warm summer nights.

Each bedroom consists of plush king beds outfitted with Parachute® linens and robes.

Outside, take a soak in the hot tub gazing into space, swing on the hammocks with a book, get a tan on the deck, or find sweet serenity as you navigate the rock maze out front.

Unwind in style and share laughs with loved ones. We can't wait to host you at The Modern Fox Den.

You will need a car to get around the high desert and you will need to drive on some dirt road to get to Modern Fox Den.

PROVIDED
- 1 Towel, Hand Towel, Wash Cloth and Pool Towel provided per guest.
- Some trash bags, dish soap, detergent, paper towels, and toilet paper have been provided. For more, please visit one of our local markets.

QUIET HOURS: 9PM - 7AM
No noise may be heard beyond the property line during that time.

NO SMOKING in the house or courtyard. Please mind your butts.

PETS: Pre-screened pets are welcome for an additional fee. They must be house-trained and stay off furniture, and out of the hot tub.
-We are unable to accommodate cats due to the owner's severe allergy. Appreciate your understanding!

ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain

EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.

THE DESERT IS WILD!
- The desert is home to coyotes, spiders, scorpions, wild dogs, bobcats, snakes, large birds of prey, and lots of pokey things!
- It's nearly impossible to keep every bug out, especially if doors are left open or it's been very hot lately. By booking with us you are acknowledging this.
- Temperature and weather extremes are common including high winds, dust storms, snow, and temperatures ranging from 38-110 F.
- This is California: Wildfires and Earthquakes can happen!
Please prepare, plan, dress, hydrate, apply sunscreen, and supervise children, pets, and loved ones accordingly.

Pet Fee:
$95 per stay; 2 dogs allowed; additional dogs considered for $50 per dog

CLEANING
A non-refundable departure cleaning fee is required on all rentals. Stays longer than 7 nights require additional weekly cleanings at the standard rate.

WASHER and DRYER are only available for stays of 7 nights or longer.

Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: Dirt roads but capable of low riding cars if you take it slow.
Fenced yard: Not fully fenced
Outdoor Surveillance: We have an outdoor camera in front of the house.
Cell phone coverage: Yes cellphone coverage

◦ Wildlife: this is the rural desert and we share the space with the wildlife. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat.


◦ RULES:
Noise ordinance:
Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Any noise related discrepancies will result in at least a $1000 fine.

◦ SMOKING POLICY
No smoking inside the house or within 10ft. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees

◦ Restricted Areas:
Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item.

◦ Hot Tub/Pool:
Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times.
Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration.
No drinking in the hot tub, please.
Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water.
Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.


◦ Photoshoots & Video:
No un permitted photoshoots or videoing at the home. If you would like to use our home for those purposes please send us a message. Any unauthorized filming will result in a $5000 violation and production fee.

IMPORTANT NOTE for HOT TUB and COWBOY POOL
To protect your own health, safety, and the integrity of tub and linens, and to ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of our facilities all guests must shower before and after using hot tub.

• We kindly request all guests to rinse their feet, bodily oils, and lotions before entering the hot tub and pool area. Failure to do so may result in the accumulation of dirt, debris, and contaminants in the water, which can compromise the overall experience for all users.

• No pets of any kind or size in hot tub and pool.

• Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub and pool.

• Please do not stand or sit on hot tub or pool cover.

• Children must be supervised at all times.

• Please heat the hot tub with cover on and avoid the urge to add hot water from the stove, it will damage the hot tub

• Please leave spa covers on and secured after use. Spa cover is for insulation only and is not designed to support weight.

Please be advised that if the condition of the hot tub and pool is left in poor conditions due to guests not rinsing their body and feet, an additional fee may be charged for excessive dirtiness. This fee will cover the cost of the necessary cleaning and maintenance required to restore the hot tub and pool to its optimal condition.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a clean and enjoyable environment for all guests. By adhering to this requirement, we can ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the benefits of our hot tub and pool facilities.
