« The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! « Le personnel était très attentionné. La nourriture était plutôt bonne. Par contre les locaux etaient un peu "dans leur jus" et en particulier nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une chambre japonaise (ce que nous voulions) mais avec de la moquette au lieu de tatamis. A noter le bain qui était très bien. Le parc aux singes juste à côté ne nous a pas plu car beaucoup trop de touristes »

« We were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. Also loved the breakfast and dinner! The gem though was the staff, who were incredibly friendly and went out of the way to help us. »

« Great stay at this ryokan ! The staff is great, people are available and welcoming, helped us with the car and guided us for our visits (as our initial plans were incompatible with the weather). The room is big and comfortable. Very nice place, would recommend 10/10 »
