We booked a pet friendly suite and the beds were clean and comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good too. We saw the newer part of the hotel and it looks lovely, so if you don't have a pet, your stay would be even nicer.

The batteries on our door lock were dead when we arrived but the front desk was able to fix the lock within 5 minutes, and everything else was great!

The Inn did not have a working bathroom door knob. Our light next to the bed didn’t work. The bathroom had no ventilation and the shower water never got hot or even warm. Screen on our window was torn and barely hangin on. Walls paper thin. The breakfast is a toaster meal or the waffle press which is why I didn’t give this place a 1. But I would not recommend staying here if there is any other option.

Cute but not ADA friendly.
Cute Inn. Not ADA friendly so we had to move after 1 night but it's a comfy place. I didnt like that the doors had an electronic lock without a secondary lock on the inside of the room like a deadbolt. Would not have felt safe staying there alone.

Microwave did not work nor did the heat lamps in the bathroom. It would also be helpful if you had any information in the room on places to eat, etc. in Winthrop as there was no information whatsoever in the room.

Our room was very comfortable, the location of the hotel was very convenient, the breakfast served was delicious and nutritional, and they have allowed us to bring our cat. Overall, i recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Winthrop.

Charged for cleaning in sink when sink didnt drain Also cleaned all garbage up and they said garbage was everywhere. Wouldmt recommend if you dont want to be ripped off!

Sir you Threw up all over and, in the sink, also trashed the entire room. It is stated in our policy and, in the reservation confirmation that we send you. We also have in the room a brochure on the main table stating hotel policy. That in the case of Excessive cleaning a charge of 250.00 will be added to your bill. We only charged you 150

It is noticeable how much the hotel is managed with care and love. I found all the comfort I needed at a fair price. Hotel with a good spirit as local managers usually do, something you don't find in fancy hotels

Our group couldnt make it for 1st night and as we arrived for 2nd night in evening on weekend hotel canceled our booking without our approval and it wasnt communicated to us. Everything in the town was booked so we literally couldnt find a place to stay. Be aware their office closes at 6pm and there isnt anybody to help us. Ive never experienced even at worst hotel such poor service, definately wont be coming back here. Also we didnt receive any communication from hotel aboit their hours of work and registration process. They will hand envelope with keys outside their office door. If you in Winthrop do your self a favor and book another hotel. We also shortened our stay by 1 night and didnt received full refund even though we canceled within their cancelation policy. We asked for full refund for such poor service and communication but they failed to even get back to us.

No one available in office before 9 am or after 6. Had to get our own new towels etc. . Breakfast was good, but not until 9 am. Too late! Never took out our garbage after asking for rm service. Motel is close to grocery store and gas station.

We couldn't have asked for an easier or better place for our two day stay. It was convenient to get anywhere, yet quiet, peaceful and comfortable, we slept soundly. We loved being close to a general store and having a property we could stroll about with our morning coffee. The breakfast offered was just enough to fortify for our wandering in this unique town. we would definitely stay here again.

We didn't even stay we had to cancel. Expedia is so hard to navigate we couldn't cancel. Even before our time to stay. We contacted hotel to let them know but they couldn't cancel it for us. Yet we got so many emails and text about the stay.

When I arrived in the evening, found no one on site. They left an envelope with my door # and code taped to the office front door. Room carpet was old and seemed dirty. When I pulled the top sheet back I noticed that the bottom sheet had a disgusting stain on it and the sheet had never been changed. I called the office, no one around to answer the phone. I was dead tired so put a towel on it and the top sheet over it. Didn't sleep very well. The next morning I went to the office and told them the story, showed pictures, which I had attached to a text and email already and asked for a new room. That one was better. The person at the front desk couldn't really do anything as she was not the owner, nor manager. I want to be refunded for that first night. THAT WAS NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!

Clean, recent new beds and furnishings. But the doors needed painted, the window needed a privacy but light allowing option (it was a dark curtain only - so if open on first floor, parking lot and cars right there.) There was no hairdryer. Walls are thin, so we heard people talking next door, the ice machine in the hallway, etc. And there were a TON of little bugs circling the light outside the outer door - so some came into our room with us as they landed on our clothes and in our hair. Time of year but... yuck.

We saw no staff. Room was clean, but coffee was never replenished. There were so many "no see'em bugs" that we had to leave the bathroom light on to attract them out of the bedroom. Never got clean towels and since there was never any staff, we couldn't ask for any. This was over 200 a night!
